  • Beautiful cottage, very well maintained!

"My wife and I stayed for a weekend and cannot wait to come back next year. The pictures really do not do this cottage justice. It is exceptionally well cared for and maintained. We loved spending many hours by the fire pit. We saw many golden finches, nuthatches, woodpeckers, chipmunks and red and gray squirrel. We spent our daytime hours checking out different areas of Raystown Lake. The 2 main overlook areas provide amazing views. The inside of the cottage is exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Thank you for sharing the cottage with us. We can't wait to come back next year, hopefully for a full week!"

  • Probably the best designed vacation home I've ever seen.

"It's hard for me to add meaningfully to the years of overwhelmingly positive reviews you can read here -- honestly, they're pretty much right about all of it. This property is a gem. What I'll say is that unlike a lot of vacation homes I've stayed in, everything about the lodge really *worked*. All of the bathrooms and the kitchen actually vented outside (so, taking showers or cooking a stew didn't steam everyone). The central air actually propagated very well throughout the property -- not the usual "2nd floor is an oven while the first feels like the north pole". Thoughtful chandelier-style lighting and ceiling fans were absolutely everywhere (including the centerpiece deck / porch); and, I never had to hunt for a power outlet when I needed one. The "summer camp" theme is strong throughout the property, and made the place feel so much more like I'd gotten away from my city home -- the pictures simply don't do the place justice. Windows are placed strategically throughout so that you're never spiritually far from the pleasantly woodsy setting, and the tall vaulted ceiling was both visually handsome, and a treat for the ears in the rain. The layout of the property was very conducive to making spaces for people to get together and talk or play, while leaving plenty of room for some quiet reading when a bit more solitude was wanted. We honestly never missed the lack of Cable TV -- which is an endorsement all by itself. The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked and had room for two to comfortably work, and the dishwasher was a life-saver that did a better job than mine at home. About the only thing I really missed during our stay was a tub for soaking after a long day's hike, but it's hard to complain when there were 3 very nice showers and plentiful hot water. We're all very much looking forward to coming back next year!"

  • Great Getaway Place in the Mountains!

"On a weekend where it was consistently hotter than 90 degrees, the air conditioning units worked wonderfully to keep the cabin nice and cool. Was very impressed with all of the amenities available at Mountain Rendezvous. The outdoor space is great and very secluded. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from everyday hustle and bustle for a few days. Great place to unwind!"
