    "The house was wonderful! 5 friends and myself rented the house on Folly to attend a friend's wedding reception. We could not have been happier. Everything was above our expectations. Sitting on the screened in patio in the mornings over looking the marsh was a highlight, and being so close to downtown and the beach was also a plus. I would highly reccommend this property to anyone who just wants to get away to a peaceful spot for vacation."

  • Hated to leave and go back to reality......

    "Well I am back at work, it was really tough after spending a week at this beach house...I keep thinking can't wait to go back next August...spent the week with my sister, best friend and her husband...was the best. This house is so nice from the moment you walk in the back door, and look straight at the ocean..oh my, loved every minute of it...this was the second time we had rented this home and will plan on it again next year!!! We actually only left the house one day and that was to go into Charleston for the day, rest of the time was spent enjoying laying on the beach, the deck or just being in the patio listening to the ocean....wonderful!!!!!"

  • Great location and minor issues

    "We were informed at check in at 5 PM that the HVAC system for this property had just been replaced. When we arrived the property was 82 degrees and it took 8 hours for it to cool down to 72. This was very unpleasant for our guests and us to have to go up 3 flights of steps for bringing in luggage, etc. I also thought it was a poor job since the HVAC filter at the return below the only thermostat for the entire house (located on 3rd floor) was dirty. The master bedroom closet floor was super dirty - had to wear shoes in there to retrieve our clothes. Also, our guests couldn't even use the 1st floor bathroom tub because it wouldn't drain...yet another cleaning issue that should have been reported if the tub was properly cleaned. Otherwise, the unit was in good condition. There was absolutely no comfortable seating in the living room. The futon couch was so uncomfortable that our guests preferred to sit on the kitchen table chairs and pull another chair up for their feet. You can feel the entire framing of the couch as it sits so low. Anyone looking to have someone sleep on this futon should be aware. Also you are informed my management that you must wait for the fridge to cool down which was also a big pain since guests don't have the time to wait 8 hours for a fridge to get to the proper temperature. Our beers and other items were not cold and just seems wrong to have to go our and buy ice/coolers just for the first day of your 3 night trip. It sucks to pay so much and not be able to check in until 4 PM and then have to leave by 10 AM. Very early checkout. Otherwise, the location is great and the master bed was comfortable. Other beds were not comfortable as reported by our guests. I agree also with other feedback that it would be nice not to have to get out of the car each time to put your vehicle in the garage as there is not a portable opener...only the one attached to the garage. The only last thing that may be worth noting is the contract required for this property which states they will not refund any money or even try to accommodate you by moving you to another property if there are any emergencies...for example, HVAC issues, hole in roof, etc. It's apparently a risk you have to take if you sign with Dunes Properties."

  • Perfect in Every Way!

    "To start, interaction with the owners to book the condo was effortless. They were responsive, friendly, and very helpful; willing to answer any questions we had and more. The condo itself is very clean, very well maintained, and completely stocked with everything we needed for the week (except for beach towels which we were aware of and prepared for). It’s nicely decorated; very comfortable. The bathroom is very roomy, there is a huge walk in closet, and even a washer/dryer, which is so convenient. The deck is nicely furnished and has an absolutely beautiful view of the beach and the ocean – gorgeous! There’s an outdoor “shower” to wash off the sand and parking is under roof which keeps the vehicle much cooler. Not that we used our vehicle much at all. We did go to Charleston for shopping and eating (which is fantastic), and on the only day that was a rain-out, we went to the outlets. Aside from that, there are shops and restaurants within walking distance, and even live music. For the bulk of our food shopping, we went to the Walmart which was very close by (by car), but we visited Bert’s grocery store (literally steps away) a few times for some things. Bert’s is very cool! The beach is directly across the street – again steps away from the condo - and is a beautiful, well-kept beach. The comfort and convenience of this property allowed for a very relaxing, no-stress vacation. We hope to come back soon!"
