"My boyfriend and I went for a short/quiet weekend getaway and this cabin was beautiful! The cabin was the perfect size for just the 2 of us. It was nice having the creek right behind the cabin. The management team was very responsive when I called with questions as well and i really appreciate that. . Unfortunately, the jetted tub inside was out of commission but we still enjoyed it and the jacuzzi outside. We were new to the area so the alarm system made me feel very secure. We loved the cabin so much, we barely left. The fireplace gave it a cozy feel and the wifi worked great. I would definitely visit here again. The only issue we had, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars, was the fact that there was dog hair on the chairs (which was hard to see just looking at the couch) so it got all over our clothes the first day. Luckily, there were extra blankets available to lay across the couch. Other than that, everything else was clean."

  • Very peaceful and pretty

"Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay. We were looking for something on a stream that was somewhat quiet/secluded away from busy touristy centers. The cabin is cute, well laid out, and clean. It was warmer than usual when we were there, so our young kids (7 and 5) really enjoyed playing in the creek behind the house where they caught numerous small crawdads. We caught one small rainbow trout with a regular fishing rod and lure. We didn't have fly fishing gear, but I doubt that many really big fish would be in this size creek. The front and back porch is really relaxing hearing the creek, and the hot tub was fun in the evening. The kitchen is stocked with basic cookware and a few seasonings. There are other houses nearby and across the creek, but the neighbors were all really quiet and we still felt like we had our own personal space. The house is further back off the main road so there's not really any traffic passing by at all. My only complaint would be that the beds were a little uncomfortable (at least downstairs) as they made our backs hurt and wake up often. Oh, and the Carver's Orchard and Applehouse Restaurant just up the main road was awesome. We wanted to eat there but it was super busy the times we tried (but it was peak tourist season being mid October). We did go to their big market and bought some nice fruits, vegetables, honey, and freshly made apple pies. Another fun thing in the area to do with kids is go on a llama trek with Smoky Mountain Llama Treks! Forbidden Caverns isn't too far a drive away either."

  • Cherokee Pool Lodge in Cosby

"Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was not as clean as expected. There was visible dust/lint under master bed and at baseboards in the bedrooms. I had to move a chair in the living room and there was also dust/dirt noted under that chair. There was a piece of cheese out on the deck underneath a deck chair (deck that had the grill on it) There was no vacuum cleaner in the home so we couldn't sweep ourselves. Additionally, the pots and pans in the kitchen were in very poor condition. They are scratched up and need to be replaced. There was no corkscrew in the kitchen. The hottub had a smell on mildew that was notable starting our first day. Last, there needs to be more lighting in the home. It was very dim, especially in the kitchen. We love the Smokies and have stayed on Amet Way several times before in a different home and I was not as happy with this home's condition as with the other homes we have stayed in."
