  • Great location, perfect size for a family of four.

"Easy to find, but parking was not explained clearly ahead of time. There is a bus stop directly in front of the building, which complicated things the first time we pulled up after a 5 hour drive with all of our bags, in the dark, in the rain and had no idea where to park. STRESS. Once we were in the condo, we found instructions for parking in the basement garage- which was oh-so convenient in the end. The building is nice, the condo is modern and cute- tiny but perfect size for our family of four for just a couple of days. Surface clean, but has not been deep cleaned/maintained in a very long time- don't look too close and you will be much happier. Most desperate attention needed: floors need to be re-done and some furniture needs to be cleaned. Yuck. Due to small size of condo, one of the bedrooms and the bathroom have sliding pocket doors that do not afford a lock or any real privacy. The door on the bathroom easily comes off the track and there are large gaps which allow seeing in and out much too easily for anyone wishing to be modest (13-year-old girl). The bathroom is off the kitchen, so if you are cooking, you can see whoever is in the bathroom doing their business. The kitchen was stocked very well- we managed to cook our Thanksgiving dinner with no problems! Lots of fresh towels and linens and the beds were super comfy. Cable TV was a bonus for us. Best of all, it's located between downtown and the Space Needle- within walking distance of both- and there is a neighborhood grocery across the street. We will be back."

  • Cozy home in the heart of Downtown Seattle

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What an amazing 4 day trip we had in Seattle! This home proved to be safe, comfortable and extremely convenient in terms of location and our needs. Seattle was a consistent 30 degrees during our stay and the home had several heaters. First pro for sure, I'm a sucker in the cold! Things like an iron, extra blankets, shampoo/conditioner, clean towels...all nice adds as well. My husband and I walked to Pike Place Market one day and bought food to make at home--it was even perfect for that. They had pots, pans, utensils and even a good sized spice rack for us to use. Dinner was great! The pictures don't showcase it well, but the bathroom is a pretty good size. There's also a nice size foyer (with a closet) at the entrance of the unit which was great for leaving our boots and heavy coats. Checking in was easy--Doug was great and dependable. And Sea to Sky Rentals was awesome with any questions I had before/during/after our stay. Cons? Not really too many. The only thing nuisance I can think of were the walls/pipes. At times (not often at mostly at night) you could hear random noises coming from the pipes. (Assuming it was the heat or building though). The walls weren't necessarily then, but because of the unit's placement on the street and the many windows, you could often hear the train, people below, cars, etc. A suggestion however, would be to double check the windows upon arrival. Many of them were closed but not locked so there was cold air coming in and sound as well. We adjusted them one evening (we're clearly idiots because we didn't do it night one!) but it made a really big difference. All in all, terrific! Would totally stay here again. Thanks Sea to Sky Rentals! :)"

  • Great Location, needs refinement

"Our visit was with 5 people. We were impressed with security, the business center for printing boarding passes, general accommodations and the washer and dryer. The thought of a penthouse being the general institutional feel of a seventh floor apartment and 25 other units was less appealing at the outset. The unit inside was attractive and as noted in the description. Access to the greater community was relatively easy for our walking visit. We have had some experience with other homes that we have rented across the country, where owners use the property when renters do not. We would have preferred kitchen basics to the sterile look of empty cupboards. As advertised for 10, the property has some needs in bath and kitchen items. We missed a toaster/oven, hand mixer and a set of mixing bowls. Full bars of soap for new visitors, (we had hot water issues during our visit which the owner was working on), bottles of water, other long lasting staples like olive oil, unopened butter, sugar and the like. None of this would be important to those just coming to Seattle to eat out everyday. We felt that the price point should have allowed us to "use" the property, instead of being required to seek out basics. The property was very comfortable for our group if you want to use the kitchen facilities and have sitting room for meals. We would return again once understanding more about what "refinements" have been completed at the property."
