  • Nice family rental

"We stayed at University View House for three weeks. Plenty of room for a family of four to spread out. Fully stocked kitchen and large dining room. Gorgeous views from kitchen, dining room, and front porch. Close to UW campus and University Village. Home is nicely furnished and decorated."

  • Exactly like the photos!

"My friend and I wanted a girls week vacation and this home was wonderful. The suite was immaculate, the furniture very comfortable and the host was most accommodating and generous. The home is beautiful and located close to all that Seattle has to offer. If someone asked me if there were anything I would change, it would have to be the slate stone pathway from the driveway down the side of the house. We came in late at night with heavy luggage (we are girls! :) ) and trying to carry instead of being able to pull the luggage in an unfamiliar area that is not too wide and with not so much lighting made it tough. I would consider a solid path versus stepping stones to make it easier to manage luggage. That is the reason why I gave a four star review instead of a five."

  • A Wonderful Visit

"We wholeheartedly agree with the reviews we had read before booking this rental in that it was even better than what we thought it would be. Ron was extremely hospitable and showed us around the place which was extremely clean, comfortable, well-supplied, and very nice. The kids loved the fire pit and making smores in the backyard. They seemed to think of everything here and supplied so many little extras from laundry detergent to a few Seattle chocolates to enjoy. We very much enjoyed our first visit to Seattle and would enthusiastically recommend this rental."

  • Clean, well kept, quiet/nice neighbourhood, thoughtful little extras

"A very well kept, clean, light and airy, well appointed property in a nice quiet neighbourhood, with thoughtful and welcoming little extras supplied to make it a very comfortable and relaxed place to stay. "A home from home". Good sized rooms accommodated our party of 4 very well. Our 2 teenage kids liked having their own bedrooms and own space in the light/airy basement, with their own living/tv room (with netflix), kitchenette and bathroom. The property is very close to the upmarket/fashionable and new"ish" "University Village" for designer gear, modern restaurants and a good quality supermarket. Next door to Ravenna Park, with it's shady wooded walks/trails over high wooden bridges, trickling stream, green open space, playground and tennis courts - a haven for joggers, walkers etc. and bohemian eco friendly cafe next to the park. There are plenty of amenities near by. The property is approx 20 mins from the city centre by car. A good tip to avoid the car parking fees is to travel to the centre of Seattle using the new underground train. Catch it from the Husky stadium - (a 20 min downhill walk or 5 min car journey from the house). The house is approx 5 mins to Lake Washington - (very beautiful- great for watersports) 20 mins to the stunning beaches of Shilshole Marina (Golden Gardens Park) or Discovery Beach. Northgate Mall is only 10 mins car drive away. Good access to all roads. We would recommend this home. The only suggestions we can think of are, perhaps full length mirrors in the bedrooms, some beach towels (as we didn't want to use the supplied beautiful white towels for the beach) and another tv located somewhere upstairs to watch while resting from a busy day of sight-seeing (there was only one tv in the house and it was downstairs in the basement). All in all, a great place to stay."
