"Our family (two couples, a two year old and an infant) had an incredible stay at Casa Madrona. We have rented properties around the world, and I can honestly say that this the most beautiful and comfortable home we have had the chance to visit. The photos do not do it justice. The house has been recently renovated with lovely touches like window seats throughout, a truly cozy gas fireplace and a gorgeous open kitchen with bamboo counters. The kitchen is fully equipped for those who like to cook—cuisinart, high quality pots and pans, multiple tea pots, etc. The home was immaculate on arrival, and furnished with lovely art pieces as well as children’s toys that delighted our two year old. There were so many thoughtful touches that it felt like we were staying in the home of a friend (and one with very good taste), rather than a rental property.
The owners were instantly accessible, kind and in no way intrusive. Megan greeted us on arrival and helped us learn our way around the house. They knew we would be visiting with our newborn and kindly set up one bedroom as our “nursery” complete with a mobile that their daughter had made and a sweet antique rocking chair. Such a lovely touch!
The location was ideal for us—a very quick drive, uber or bus ride to cap hill or downtown and a one block walk to a playground, shops and cafes. We very much enjoyed learning our way around the center of Madrona, which has much to offer and took walks down to Lake Washington through a lovely little wooded park.
I loved watching the sun set over the Olympic mountains and the city sky-line from the top floor bedrooms. We will certainly do our best to stay here again whenever we pass through Seattle. It is an utter gem."
