  • Vacation home within walking distance of downtown Baileys Harbor

"We recently stayed at the Bailey Boon in Baileys Harbor for a week. We found it to be a lovely home which is surrounded by trees on a quiet street and overlooks Lake Michigan. It is set back from Hwy 57 far enough that you don't get traffic noise, but close enough that it is a short walk to the downtown area and marina. The house is clean, well maintained, and stocked with everything you'll need for a comfortable stay (dishes, linens, pots, pans, gas grill, washer/dryer, etc.). The house was the perfect size for our group of six. I also found both the owner and the rental agent to be friendly and helpful. I would very much recommend Bailey Boon if you are staying in Door County and want a nice rental home on the east side of the peninsula."

  • Peace, Tranquility

"If you love the peace and quiet of nature, you will love staying at Shalom Stone. No TV or phone service to interrupt the relationship building time with spouse, family, friends and God. The home is adorable with great views. Comfy, stocked and convenient. Enjoy the quiet side of Door County! Jim, the owner, is very accommodating!"

  • Absolutely everything we wanted - plus pelicans!

"Six of us - two grandparents, two parents, and two primary-age children - spent a happy week here at the end of June. The privacy of the place, the beauty of the lake, and the comfort of the cabin were all much treasured. We saw deer, foxes, pelicans, terns, wild turkey, pheasant, raccoons, and seagulls. What a delight to be in an environment that hasn’t been poisoned by toxic chemicals. Yes, there are a few spiders on the deck - as another guest has noted. One goes out in the morning and sweeps down the webs. No big deal. The cabin smelled fresh - no musty odors. We found generous supplies of toilet paper and paper towels in the kitchen closet, as well as clean towels and extra blankets in the two linen closets. Cooking gear and dishes were also generously supplied. A couple of fix-it problems came up and the housekeeper worked with us to resolve them. As I am disabled, I was happy to have a main-floor bedroom and bathroom with a walk-in shower. I was also delighted to have an Ekornes Stressless chair on hand - that’s where I spent most of the week. The beach at the cabin is rocky and the charming Liberty Grove Town Park - maybe a 10-minute walk - has a sandy beach. We found a trail from the south end of Nor-Dor Road that led down into Newport State Park, with more wonderful rocky beaches. Additional local attractions: the Shoreline Restaurant, Charlie’s Smokehouse, and the coffee shop, all in in Gills Rock; the Pioneer Store in Ellison Bay; Seaquist Orchards and the Door County Creamery in Sister Bay; the Ridges Nature Sanctuary in Bailey’s Harbor. This cabin has a unique history. We enjoyed reading stories in the guest book about its past years. It’s not perfect - no summer rental is perfect - but we found much to love and we’d go back in a minute."

  • Great home, comfortable, and a huge screen porch.

"We recently stayed at Lyn's home June 18-2, 2016. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 children and we all were very comfortable. Beds were comfortable and the house well stocked. But our favorite room was the big screen porch where we spent most of our time, either eating or playing cards. Lyn even went out and bought a new grill for us when she found out the old one wasn't working and knew we were big grillers. I thought that was very thoughtful and showed how much she cares that her visitors have everything they need. We especially liked the quiet location after a busy day exploring Door County. I highly recommend Lyn's place to anyone and would definitely return. Thank you, Lyn, for sharing your home with our family, your attentiveness to our needs, your kindness, and your warm friendly smile when we met each other."
