The Property
Villa and Studio (total 200 m2); The property is fully furnished and consists of a main villa (160 m2) and an independent studio (40 m2). You have the option to rent the villa only (sleeps 6 max), or rent the villa + studio (to sleep 8 max)

The villa has 2 levels; On the ground floor are 2 bedrooms, with toilet and bathroom, modern spacious living room, and a large open kitchen/breakfast area (all NEW February 2008), and fully equipped. The kitchen/breakfast area, living room have French doors to the terrace, swimming pool and garden, all facing south. On the second floor there is a third bedroom, with en-suite toilet/shower room, with balcony. The independent studio has a kitchen, living-den, bathroom/toilet and spacious bedroom. Note; the studio ceiling is at 1.85m (6 ft).

The villa has Satelite TV with ALL Dutch, English, German, French, and other European Channels + CNN, CNBC, etc. Also an iPOD docking station to play your own favourite tracks, and Free High-speed Internet with WiFi.

The grounds
The large garden (2000 m2),with private pool, lawn, large tree with hammock is ideal for children to play or just pure relaxation. The property is surrounded by conifer hedges and pine trees ensuring your privacy. A forest road (800 m) leads from the main road up to the villa. The large poolside terrace is fully equipped with garden furniture and parasols. The villa and grounds are South facing and enjoy maximum day long sunshine throughout the year. Nice walks can be made through the woods around the villa, or to the nearby villages of Seillans and Fayence.

Seillans, and Provence-Cote d'Azur
Seillans is an ideal base for exploring the Cote d'Azur or the Eastern Provence. Beaches at 40 min and ski-resorts at 2 hr drive. Close to lake 'Lac de Cassien' for swimming, fishing, pedalo-hire, sailing, picnic areas. Many opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, horse back riding, gliding; beautiful views over the Provence, and the beaches of the Cote d'Azur. Many golf courses nearby, with the Four Seasons resort at 20 minutes. Within 1 hour drive you will find the Gorges de Verdon, for hiking and kayaking. 2 tennis clubs nearby the villa. The area around Seillans has many beautiful hill-perched villages, with cobbled streets, side cafes, and young & old playing petanque (boules). This is France at its best ! Visit nearby Grasse, luxurious Cannes, Nice, Monaco and St. Tropez. The Provence area has many small village markets with local produce and larger traditional Provencal markets. Local vineyards produce well known Cote de Provence, and offer visits. Many open-air festivals. The Gliding club in Fayence is nearby; view the Cote d'Azur and Esterel moutains from above ! ; This the area is well known as one of the best places for Gliding in Europe.

Notes:
Studio is not rented out separately. Electricity is included from May to September inclusive. At all other times electricity used to heat the house will be charged at cost.

Deposit of €500 (refundable). Rental on weekly basis and Saturday to Saturday only. Arrivals Saturday at, or after 16:00 PM and departures Saturday at, or before, 10:00 AM. Guests will be welcomed to the house by our local Care-Taker, who will also be available to help with any queries or problems which may arise during your stay.

Pricing is fully inclusive of provided linen, cleaning, pool and garden maintenance. Towels for swimming pool and/or beach usage are also provided. The linen and towels are changed once a week. The villa will be thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival, with a briefer weekly clean during a stay of two weeks or more. A cot / play-pen / changing table and a high chair are available.

  • Our family of five stayed here in October of 2009. We were a "last minute" rental, but the owners were very accommodating. The villa is beautiful - everything was in perfect order - fresh flowers/wine/soft drink. The pool was well used (even if a bit chilly) and we enjoyed exploring the nearby beautiful serene areas. We would definitely stay here again.

  • We had a wonderful week in this villa in August 2009. The villa is set in a quiet, rural setting, but shops are only a 5 to 10 minute drive away. The villa has a large swimming pool which we used daily - the water was a perfect temperature. The surrounding countryside has tremendous natural beauty. We would definately stay here again.

  • We stayed in this villa at the beginning of September 2008. The villa itself was lovely, the interior was modern and very comfortable, and the grounds and pool were fantastic. Eddie & Hilde have made sure there are lots of creature comforts at the villa, and we stayed with 2 young children so the highchair and cot came in very handy (take your own bedding for the cot though as there wasn't any when we were there). We often lunched out on the patio and stumbled over to the hammock and pool in the afternoon. It was a lovely, relaxing week and we would go back without hesitation. We did not venture very far this holiday as it was our first stop after arriving from Australia, but we did enjoy dinner in the peaceful town of Seillans a couple of times. The town of Seillans is like something out of a movie and dinner under the trees in the town square is not to be missed. My husband took his bike and rode around the surrounding mountains which were beautiful. Eddie was very helpful throughout the booking process, and in particular when the internet was not working, as he went out of his way to have it fixed for us, and the caretakers Jan and Majken were lovely. All in all a great week - highly recommended!

A nice drive to all directions: Cannes, Antibes, St.Tropez and the Gorges of Verdon, we've done them all. A big compliment to Eddy and Hilde for creating such a pleasant atmosphere in the cottage and being such fantastic hosts ! Thank you, and we will definitely consider coming back again.   • We received a warm welcome by Jan and Majken (the housekeepers).The house met our expectations: all comfort is present:large pool, nice terrace in a green ans quiet environment. The bakery and supermarket are nearby at a distance of 3 km. Ideal location for various trips. Our trips:Monaco, St-Maxime, St-Tropez by night,Cotignac,Lorgues,Grasse and the market and "Ball Musette" in Fayence. We especially enjoyed the swimming pool or a nice glass of wine from the local wine grower"Chateau des Selves" on the terrace. Who needs more than that? The children can enjoy themselves enough in the big garden. In short: this is glorious life, like the Gods in France !!!! Next summer we certainly return to Villa Seillans.

  • Perfect villa and perfect location made for the perfect vacation. The villa was lovely and the small touches such as the high end kitchen ware, patio setting near the pool, and recent renovations went beyond our expectations. Not only is this a spacious villa in a beautiful mountainous setting, but the location is amazing. Provencal France has so much to offer for any type of person. We took several day trips around the area including: Monaco, Nice, Cannes, St. Tropez, Grasse, Gorges du Verdon, and even went gliding out of the nearby town of Fayence (a must do)!
