The Property
Villa and Studio (total 200 m2); The property is fully furnished and consists of a main villa (160 m2) and an independent studio (40 m2). You have the option to rent the villa only (sleeps 6 max), or rent the villa + studio (to sleep 10 max)
The villa has 2 levels; On the ground floor are 2 bedrooms, with toilet and bathroom, modern spacious living room, and a large open kitchen/breakfast area (all NEW February 2008), and fully equipped. The kitchen/breakfast area, living room have French doors to the terrace, swimming pool and garden, all facing south. On the second floor there is a third bedroom, with en-suite toilet/shower room, with balcony. The independent studio has a kitchen, living-den, bathroom/toilet and spacious bedroom. Note; the studio ceiling is at 1.85m (6 ft).
The villa has Satelite TV with ALL Dutch, English, German, French, and other European Channels + CNN, CNBC, etc. Also an iPOD docking station to play your own favourite tracks, and Free High-speed Internet with WiFi.
The grounds
The large garden (2000 m2),with private pool, lawn, large tree with hammock is ideal for children to play or just pure relaxation. The property is surrounded by conifer hedges and pine trees ensuring your privacy. A forest road (800 m) leads from the main road up to the villa. The large poolside terrace is fully equipped with garden furniture and parasols. The villa and grounds are South facing and enjoy maximum day long sunshine throughout the year. Nice walks can be made through the woods around the villa, or to the nearby villages of Seillans and Fayence.
Seillans, and Provence-Cote d'Azur
Seillans is an ideal base for exploring the Cote d'Azur or the Eastern Provence. Beaches at 40 min and ski-resorts at 2 hr drive. Close to lake 'Lac de Cassien' for swimming, fishing, pedalo-hire, sailing, picnic areas. Many opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, horse back riding, gliding; beautiful views over the Provence, and the beaches of the Cote d'Azur. Many golf courses nearby, with the Four Seasons resort at 20 minutes. Within 1 hour drive you will find the Gorges de Verdon, for hiking and kayaking. 2 tennis clubs nearby the villa. The area around Seillans has many beautiful hill-perched villages, with cobbled streets, side cafes, and young & old playing petanque (boules). This is France at its best ! Visit nearby Grasse, luxurious Cannes, Nice, Monaco and St. Tropez. The Provence area has many small village markets with local produce and larger traditional Provencal markets. Local vineyards produce well known Cote de Provence, and offer visits. Many open-air festivals. The Gliding club in Fayence is nearby; view the Cote d'Azur and Esterel moutains from above ! ; This the area is well known as one of the best places for Gliding in Europe.
Notes:
Studio is not rented out separately. Electricity is included from May to September inclusive. At all other times electricity used to heat the house will be charged at cost.
Deposit of €500 (refundable). Rental on weekly basis and Saturday to Saturday only. Arrivals Saturday at, or after 16:00 PM and departures Saturday at, or before, 10:00 AM. Guests will be welcomed to the house by our local Care-Taker, who will also be available to help with any queries or problems which may arise during your stay.
Pricing is fully inclusive of linen, cleaning, gas, pool cleaning and garden maintenance. Towels for swimming pool and/or beach usage are not provided. Two each bath and hand towel are provided per guest, plus required kitchen linen. The linen is changed once a week and the house will be thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival, with a briefer weekly clean during a stay of two weeks or more. A cot / play-pen / changing table and a high chair are available.
