This Paris sunny duplex/loft is located (accessible by elevator) on the top floor of a beautiful 19th century building, looking out on to a large and lovely courtyard. The apartment is very quiet as it is protected from street noise, it is also very safe, with a digicode, and very central.
The flat is 80 square meters (900 square feet), and as just been beautifully renovated. It is tastefully designed with modern furniture, real wood floor. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a mezzanine. It is situated near the Opera and big department store Gallerie Lafayette on rue de la Victoire where Napoleon and Josephine owned a house.The apartment is distributed over two levels.
The ground floor consists of a kitchen and a dining area with a table for six, a bedroom with an en suite bathroom, a separate toilet, and a living room; There is plenty of light with large windows. On the top floor there are one separate bedroom with a window and a velux, and an en suite shower room. The mezzanine offers a sofa which can be used as a single bed, a desk and a chair with fast Internet access. This apartment comfortably sleeps 5 adults or a family with a couple and 3 children.
The large entrance takes you in the living room which has double-height ceiling part of which is galleried to the upper area. There is a dining table that can accommodate 6 people. The fully equipped open-plan kitchen includes a washer and separate dryer, dishwasher, oven, microwave.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed and an en suite bathroom. On the level above, the second bedroom has a queen size bed that can be divided into 2 single beds, and an en suite shower room.The galleried landing room above the living room can be used as a sitting room with a cable TV or a single bedroom with its desk and chair and wireless fast Internet access for your laptop.

This is the second time that we have stayed in the Opera Victoire I - B5 and we will certainly stay there again. The apartment is extremely well situated - we can walk almost anywhere from it plus there are two Metro stations within a couple of blocks. Local food shopping (rue des Martyres) is excellent. The apartment itself is bright, light and clean. We like the large dining table, the wireless access and the showers. As we both cook the kitchen works well, we appreciate the large fridge. Another bonus is that the apartment is very quiet - a delightful oasis in the heart of Paris. We recommend this apartment for others who want a comfortable home while in Paris.

We enjoyed our week-long stay in Opéra Victoire I-B5. The apartment was spacious and light, very quiet and secure, and well located for sightseeing, shopping, and access to the Metro. , we were pleased with the apartment and would definitely stay there again.

The Videau family of Pensacola, Florida highly recommends this apartment. The size of the apartment was great for our family of 5. The location is fantastic. We could walk to a local market every morning and get fresh cheese, pastries , or whatever you desire. There are two metro stops within a block that can take you all over the city. We loved the local grocery and even the little greek restaurant next door. Our kids had their own lofts. We used the well furnished kitchen to prepare meals between our many dining out experiences. Overall, I would highly recommend this apartment. The area is worth exploring. Thanks for the experience. The Videau's

I work for a major airline in the USA (Delta Airlines) and I will recommend this apt. to other employees who wish to visit Paris. Very exciting area with sightseeing, shopping and Metro stations close by. We all had a great time.

We so enjoyed our stay in the 9th arrondismont at the Opera Victoire Loft apt. The apartment was lovely and bright even tho it was without A/C there were plenty of fans to move the air, the apartment felt light and breezy all the time. It was also very quiet being on the back side of the courtyard on the 5th floor. For a Paris apt it was very roomy with lots of closet space and floor space. We loved the great kitchen really fully equipped with many cooking pots and utensils, as well as lots of dishes. We cooked some good meals with all the supplies. Just up Rue des Martyrs there are all the shops you need to stock the full sized fridge. Check out especially the Olive Oils of Provence store for wonderful single vareital olive oils. Our favorite boulangerie/patisserie was the Artisnal Bakery at Rue Manuel on Rue des Martyrs about the 3rd bakery up on the right side. The apt is also very well situated to lost of good shopping near by and has 2 Metros with in a block of it so getting around the city from there is easy. We had a delightful french cafe meal at Rizzo Cafe just up the street on rue de Maubeuge. The girls at the Vietnamese restaruant down the street were lovely to us as well. All three generations of our family ranging from 71-9 years old who were on the trip really enjoyed our stay, and would stay there again . Many thanks to Andy and Yvette for all their help too!
