  I was a little worried when I saw the affordable price of the studio, but when we arrived everything was exactly as described. It was the perfect size for a couple who wanted to spend the day exploring. It was a five minute walk to the most spectacular blue water you will ever see. We rented a car for the week from a company through Gloria and did not regret it for a second. It make searching the island a breeze. I highly recommend renting a car. The studio was perfectly clean and very quiet. Gloria, I need to find out the brand of sheets you use. I haven't had a better sleep in years. The kitchen was perfectly equipped for a small breakfast or lunch before heading out. We are definitely planning on coming back!!!

  We can't think of enough great things to say. It was our first trip to the island and Gloria was a wonderful source of information about getting around the island. The room was more than we expected, clean, roomy and full of amenities. The location was just a short walk to wonderful beaches. It was far enough from the hustle and bustle of the towns, but close enough to all the places we wanted to see. They arranged transportation for us, which was one less thing we needed to worry about. We highly recommend this property and Gloria and Nick. They made the experience all the more enjoyable.

  THIRD STAY WITH NICK AND GLORIA!!! This is one of the best finds on orient beach,we have stayed with nick and gloria three times and always been a great experience. Stuido is just as pictured,coffee,welcome basket and very well stock Gloria is a phone call away to help you with anything you need. .We spend our time on orient beach ( at le string a very cute beach bar with very freindly people who take good care of you!) it is one of the most beauitful beaches we have ever been on. Thanks Nick and Gloria plan to return again next year.

  We just came back from our lovely vacation in St. Martin yesterday. We are so happy that we made the choice of coming to VRBO and found this wonderful deal. We also own a condo in Wells Beach Maine and rent, so we know exactly what we are looking for… Immaculate premises, caring owners who speak English, cooking facilities, all linens provided, and most of all safety. Well every one of these was met with five stars. The condo is actually much bigger than depicted in the photos. Plenty of closet space, bureaus, cleaning supplies… The owners Nick and Gloria live in another condo in this complex which was very important to us. They were only a phone call away if we had any questions. Gloria was extremely helpful, gave us tips before arriving, and gave us a wonderful orientation to the Mont Vernon complex. We loved the fact that we could cook in the unit, if we so desired. We did stock up on groceries on the Dutch Grande Marche and made quick breakfast and sometimes lunch in the unit. The room was immaculate. Small fridge, two burner stove, microwave, toaster and all cooking pans, plates… We had the balcony doors open when we were there, the ocean breeze would ventilate and keep the place cool and the sound of the ocean waves at night made a perfect beach atmosphere every single minute of our stay. We felt very safe leaving our things there every time we would leave the unit. There is security 24 hours a day. The beach was about a 1 minute walk depending how fast or slow you walk. There are steps you climb to get down to the beach. The pool was beautiful and very clean. Also, the unit it's close to every thing; A 7 minute easy drive to Grand Case and you can walk during the day on the beach to restaurants for breakfast and lunch. We are already saving to come back to this exact unit. Thank you Nick and especially Gloria for making this one of the best vacations we have ever taken.

  If you want a nice, quiet place to stay, then this is it. Price is right. Nick and Gloria are exceptional hosts. This was to be a business retreat and I was able to relax with the sound of the waves just a short walk away. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, then this is the place. Close to grocery stores, restaurants, bakeries, water sports. You name it. It's close by. If you want a loud and noisy vacation, then stay on the Dutch side. For me, it could not have been better. I will be back. Thank you Nick and Gloria. You are the BEST!

  Karen and I arrived and were met at the airport by Gloria's "pet" cabbie, who stopped to allow us to get some groceries, before taking us to what would be home for the next 15days> The unit was better than described or reviewed, and was clean and in great repair. As others have said, this complex has lots of walking and stairs, and wouldn't be suitable for mobility challenged folks. The unit was well supplied, had indoor and outdoor furnishings, and all the essentials for our stay. Gloria was always a quick email or call away to answer questions, or give directions to great eating spots, and there are hundreds within a 15 min drive. A car is really reccomended, as cabs are not easy to in the quiet gated community, and in St Martin, rates double later in the evening. The beach is very quiet at this end, much nicer than the center strip, where bus loads of cruise ship passengers get dropped to spend the day, but if the bustle is what you like, it's a 10 min walk down the beach! Great little store on site, all the essentials, and dollar or euro is accepted everywhere you go. It's a condo, not a resort, so be prepared to look after your own garbage, luggage etc. Quiet, great views, great pool area, and the beach! it's all about the beach! We'll be back, or as the islanders say, " soon come"

  My husband first found this place and told me that we HAVE to stay here because he saw the Yoda Guy/Star Wars pictures on the website. After I found out that the apartment was not decorated in a Star Wars theme, I agreed to stay. And I'm glad that I did! The apartment is in a great location-right on Orient Bay and very close to Grand Case. The apartment also had everything that we needed-coffee pot, hair dryer, nicely-sized bathroom, outdoor patio, etc. Gloria and Nick had a Welcome Basket ready for us when we got there. This was perfect because we got in so late that we weren't able to go anywhere else for food. So we sat on the patio and munched on the snacks in the basket and drank wine! Gloria and Nick also arranged for a rental car for us for the week. I definitely recommend getting a car if you want to explore the island and visit different beaches. We loved driving around the island and taking in the beautiful sites. We had a small problem with the rental car at 9:00 pm on the night before we were suppose to fly out. But Gloria helped to arrange a taxi for us for 5:30 am the next morning (normally the taxis don't start operating until about 8ish). We couldn't have been more thankful!!! We were so happy that she was willing to help. Our favorite beaches were Orient Bay, Grand Case, and Cupecoy Bay. Cupecoy Bay is a nudist beach on the Dutch side, but don't let that keep you away even if you're conservative. It is an amazing beach! At least stop by and take a few pictures (of the beach and the surroundings, not the naked people)

  I just wanted to drop you a quick note to again express my gratitude for your accommodating Deb and me last week.  We came to you in a crisis situation and you provided exactly what we were looking for, and at just the right time.  We both very much enjoyed our stay and appreciate your guidance on where to go and what to do while in the area.  The unit is beautiful, and it suited our needs perfectly.   My visit to Saint Martin was my most memorable vacation, absolutely stunning island. The condo was well furbished and clean, we love to cook and had plenty of cooking utensils available. The condo allows acces to Orient beach by a small 2 minute walk, perfectly located. The condo had various books and information magazines available to us, we had abundant information to plan our week long trip, including information about various beaches, thus allowing us to visit 5 other beaches, including pinel island an absolute must. On those rainy nights, the condo had dvds so we were allways kept busy. We would certainly rent from Gloria and Nick again, which may be sooner than later !

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  We just spent 10 days in this rental and it was everything promised and more. Gloria and Nick were great hosts, very helpful (including arranging a very early cab ride for us back to the airport for our departure). Orient Bay is a nice beach - but I'd also point visitors to Plum Bay and Dawn Beach. You're close to Grand Case (had a great meal at La Villa), and really, almost anyplace on the island. Also highly recommend Latorie Farm at Pic Paradise - a wonderful hike in the rainforest and delicious food in their 'treehouse' restaurant afterwards. The apartment is fine for 3, would be a stretch for 4. The 'welcome' basket was much appreciated, as was Gloria's prompt response to our questions about St. Martin. Highly recommended.
