A spacious, comfortable and very well equipped cottage. Beautiful view and convenient location for exploring Cape Breton. Daily visits from the local bald eagle family were a real treat.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

In a word - wow!! What a beautiful spot you have here. Close enough to everything yet far enough from everything. We loved the welcoming committee - bald eagles soaring over our heads! The girls loved the paddleboat. Thanks for truly making this a home away from home.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We had a great two weeks. We all enjoyed the serenity, the sunsets, the golf, the beach and we even fed your crows. Thanks so much. We hope to do this again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We thought the driv from NY might be too much but all memory of it vanished about an hour or so after arriving. Thanks so much for sharing this with us, it is a treasure. An eagle on the beach our last day - perfect!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1992
About the owner: Hi, we are Jim and Sharon Gunn. We built our cottage in 1992 as a recreational home but after two years we decided we liked the rural lifestyle much more than city life so we moved to Ingonish permanently in 1994. In 2009 we moved into a new home across the harbour and that is why we are renting our cottage. Jim is the local land surveyor.
Why the Owner Chose Ingonish:
Ingonish has always been a favorite summer getaway for our family. There are so many things to do. We used to belong to a fitness club in the city but now our daily routine includes hiking, walking, swimming, golfing, kayaking, scuba diving, snow shoeing - you name it. Who needs a health club! The air here is so unbelievably fresh that we hate to go to the city any more.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Our property is literally right on the harbour. You can cast a line from the deck. A few years ago the community built a public wharf next door (1/2 km) and there is usually lots of activity to observe from our deck with fisherman and whale watch operators coming and going.
