Our home features a large main bedroom with three more good sized bedrooms. King beds for couples or split king beds for singles. Accommodates eight adults comfortably. Built in wardrobes. Organic sheets and towels.
Three western style bathrooms plus powder room. Large bath in main bathroom and another bath in second floor bathroom. Large double Japanese style shower on ground level. Heated toilets.
Comfortable leather lounge to sit and watch the wood fire. Seating for eight around the dining table with views of the Rusutsu Resort and night skiing. Large screen plasma TV's in both living and Mezzanine area with DVD players and small TV's in all bedrooms.
This is a non-smoking home for everyone's enjoyment.
Rusutus Resort is a scenic 1.5hour non stop trip by coach from Chitose Airport, Sapporo.

Why the Owner Chose Rusutsu
As above we have skied in Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada. The powder in Japan is amazing. We had previously stayed in Niseko but as this became crowded we looked at Rusutsu and were able to purchase land at a reasonable price. Japan, especially Rusutsu is certainly a different experience with the people, snow and golf courses and local food. Besides the restaurants and bars in the Rusutsu Resort there are local restaurants and bars nearby.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We really enjoy our second home, sharing it with friends and family. Sitting around the open fire with snow outside is so different to what we are used to in Australia. We have close friends who own the other two homes in this street. Our lives have been enriched after meeting the local Japanese who have welcomed us into the community. Ski slopes are close by and we have skied home on several occasions. We have an old 8 seater van which we use to explore the area and trying the local onsens (hot springs), restaurants, visiting nearby lakes and towns. We have not had anyone stay that has not loved the house and the skiing and golf and the Japanese experience.

This a photo of my husband and myself. We live on the northern beaches of Sydney and have skied in the USA and Canada and have found the perfect powder in Rusutsu, Hokkaido Japan. The uncrowded slopes of Rusutsu are an added bonus. We spend as much time as we can with friends and family in our beautiful home in Rusutsu. We have been there in all seasons and all seasons are so different and as beautiful as each other. We ski in winter and golf in summer. We enjoy the local onsens (thermal springs) and the fresh food available in the area. We have met some lovely Japanese who have made us feel very welcome. There are only 5 western style homes in the Rusutsu Resort area so we are in quite a unique position. Rusutsu Resort is a great place to ski with 3 gondolas, 6 high speed quad chairs and no crowds winter or summer. We hope to share our home and this beautiful area.
