  We had a delightful stay at this art deco condo. It was well equipped, squeaky clean, it could sleep three couples, it was a block from the beach, and only a twenty minute walk along the boardwalk to the heart of South beach. It is also only a bike ride away from "millionaires row," a breathtaking view of condos and hotels along Indian River. Amazingly, there was a public rent-a– bike stand right across the street from the condo. There are several great restaurants within a stones throw, and the Red Hotel which abuts the condo, has a great bar. Marla was a very considerate landlord letting us have a late check out and solving within minutes of our emailing her, a problem we had with the high speed internet connection. The building is not fancy and has no view, but if you want to be in the action without paying through the nose, I highly recommend a stay here.

  We had a fabulous time in Marla's flat and especially loved the neighborhood tucked between rowdy South Beach and the rowdy Fountainebleau. We had the beach to ourselves! The apartment was immaculate and perfectly equipped although a little dark, but the colorful and whimsical decor made up for the lack of bright sunlight, which is right outside the front door in abundance. We really enjoyed our week stay and hope to return next year. Two excellent restaurants : Indomania and Cantina 27 a few blocks south on Collins should not be missed? Thanks Marla!   WE HAD SUCH A WONDERFUL STAY AT THIS CONDO. THE UNIT IS EXACTLY AS THE PICTURES SHOW; WELL DECORATED, WELL STOCKED AND CLEAN. MARLA WAS A VERY ATTENTIVE HOSTESS AND MADE SURE ALL OF OUR NEEDS WERE MET NO MATTER HOW SMALL. THE BUILDING IS IN A QUIET AREA BUT NOT TOO FAR FORM ALL OF THE ACTIVITY OF SOUTH BEACH. WE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED OUR STAY! WE WILL DEFINITELY RENT FROM HER AGAIN. This review appeared in it's original, submitted by guest, on the airbnb website.

  We had a great time in Marla's art deco apartment! It was clean, very tastefully decorated, and all necessities were there. Location was perfect, beach across the street was gorgeous and not crowded. We liked t hat it was in a quieter area but not too far from South Beach. It was a very good value for the price and I would highly recommend it. My only advice is to skip the car if you're going to stay for awhile because everything is accessible on foot or by bus.

  Marla's art deco apartment was perfect. It was a very good value for the price and we would highly recommend it. The apartment itself was fully stocked with any necessity you could need and it easily slept 4 in 2 bedrooms. You could also sleep two more on the queen sofa bed in the living room. The location was perfect (30th and Collins)- you're so close to South Beach, and also directly across the street from the ocean itself. Finally, Marla was easily accessible by email or phone, if we had any questions, and she made the entire process and weekend so easy and convenient. The next time we come back to Miami Beach, this would definitely be the first place we look at.

  This place is AMAZING. Everything inside is carefully thought out and has it's special place.. even the lighting is great with different colors coming out of the wall in the master bedroom. Loved the king size bed, the bathrooms are sexy, and the location cannot be beat, right across from the beach and the Palm Hotel. Marla was very accommodating, even at the last minute, and it was very easy to get into the place. When we arrived everything was spotless and there were towels at the ready. I'd love to use this for future South Beach trips. Highly recommended!

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

  My boyfriend and I had a great time in Marla's condo. It was art deco throughout, with incredible touches with the lighting. I agreed reluctantly because I like hotels, but we were across the street from the Palm Hotel and spent hours at their poolside bar. Then we came home to a two bedroom cute as can be condo, that was far more affordable than any hotel. At night, out to restaurants. There is no view because it is on the first floor, but the beach was right there and that was great. Would definitely stay again.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

  OVERALL THE CONDO APPEARS TO BE A NICE PLACE. AFTER FURTHER REVIEW WE FOUND THE TOWELS TO HAVE MAKE-UP STAINS ALL OVER THEM WHICH WERE NOT USEABLE. WE USED THEM TO CLEAN WITH INSTEAD BECAUSE WE WOULDNT DARE PUT THEM ON OUR BODIES. THANK GOODNESS WE ALWAYS PACK TOWELS AND WASH CLOTHES. THE BED LINENS WERE DIRTY. WE WERE TOLD TO SLEEP ON TOP OF THE COMFORTER UNTIL THE HOUSEKEEPER CAME THE NEXT MORNING! THERE WERE CIGARETTE BUTTS UNDER THE BEDS, NONE OF US SMOKES. EVERYTIME WE TOUCHES THE SHOWER WE FELT SHOCKS ! THE CURTAINS WERE WHITE WHICH ALLOWED US TO SEE ALL THE STAINS ON THEM. UPON TALKING WITH THE OWNER MARLA SHE APPEARED TO BE A NICE LADY. ONCE WE GOT THERE AN ADDRESSED THE PROBLEMS SHE BECAME..........WELL LETS SAY NOT SO NICE. SHE KEPT BRAGGING ON HOW HER HOUSEKEEPER WAS SO IMMACULANT. AS U CAN TELL THAT WAS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. HER IMMACULANT AND MY IMMACULANT HAS TO DIFFERENT MEANINGS. I WILL SAY THAT THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME RENTING FROM A OWNER AND MY LAST. ATLEAST AT HOTELS U HAVE SOMEONE THERE 24-7 THAT CAN GIVE U CLEAN LINENS AND TOWELS VS.HAVING TO SLEEP ON DIRTY ONES OVERNIGHT UNTIL SOMEONE GETS THERE.NOT TO MENTION I WAS CHARGED $100 FOR THE SOILED TOWELS THAT WERE DIRTY TO BEGAN WITH. I TRAVEL ALL YEAR LONG AND HAVE BEEN ALL OVER THE WORLD AND I MUST SAY SHE GAVE SOUTH BEACH RENTALS A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH. ID RATHER DO HOTELS ANY DAY!!!

This is her e mail: Marilyn May 11 to me Hello Mrs.Isaacs. How are u? It's been a long week of recoups for me!!! I had a great time and can't wait to get back! Thanks for everything!!! Is there a certain day I should be expecting my deposit back? I'm just asking because I haven't noticed it on my billing statement ... Sent from my iPhone I have our entire e mail chain and am happy to send it to any potential renter who wants to see for himself/herself. What you will see is that I reduced her rent and gave her an early check in and late check out, at no additional charge. You see no complaints in a very long chain of e mails. Why the vitriol? I did not return her deposit because of the condition in which she left my condo, and her having two additional unauthorized [and unpaid for ] people stay there with her. Our condo is cleaned and managed by the head of Housekeeping from the hotel next door. She provides a stack of additional towels and sheets. There are 3 washing machines in the building for your use. I do not know how anyone can get a ‘shock’ from a shower. Smoking is not permitted in my condo. I am very proud of how I keep up the condo, and this is reflected in the reactions of guests to it.
