WE LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!

We arrived on May 24th and departed on the 30th May 2010. When we left Barbados we were unsure as to what to expect. From the moment we arrived at the apartment, we felt as if we were at home. The place is lovely and we would definitely recommend the facility to anyone who is seeking relaxation or is a shopaholic. Normally when we read reviews we tend to be skeptical. Not this one. We assure you. The place is in close proximity (walking distance) to Port-of-Spain town, (about 8 mins walk), Movie Town (about 20 mins walk), the Zoo (15 mins walk). The malls that are most fascinating are Trincity Mall as well as Long Circular Mall (both are must sees). Movie town was not amusing . Although it is a mall there is not much to buy or see. You will definitely have to be going to see a movie or perhaps, purchase ice-cream, football souvenirs, etc The owner Ms. Bynoe was very courteous and at this point both my boyfriend and I would like to express sincere gratitude and thanks for such kindness.

We lived for nearly six months in a nice and hospitable apartment in Mariedor. All facilities needed where on walking distance. The bedrooms airconditioned and the landlady, the house keeper and the gardener/nightwatch very kind. Any action to make our stay more pleasant was carried out. Surely we will return.

We stayed for 10 wonderful days at Maison Mariedor. The accomodations were great, very clean with house-keeping service. It was located near to great restaurants, public transport was available as needed and very quiet at night. The premises were secure and the owner was very hospitable. We will definitely consisder Maison Mariedor one of the top places to stay when we vacation in Trinidad again.

Maison Mariedor is in a great location, and walking distance to many places: the shopping area in Port-of-Spain; a park where one can do a 3-mile run; tennis courts; grocery shopping, and many restaurants. The self-contained apartments are fully furnished and are a true "home away from home". You only have to bring your bags and laptop. There is maid service, linens, air-conditioned bedrooms, and high-speed Internet service. There is a also a lovely, serene garden where one can read or just relax in the outdoors. The owner is very hospitable, and gave me good leads of places to see and things to do, including a “hash” (a hike) – a strenuous run along absolutely beautiful trails. The service and amenities are excellent and the place is very comfortable and secure. I will definitely stay there on my next visit to Trinidad and I highly recommend it for a short- or long-term stay.
