Perfect location

Really nice property close to the museums and zoo. The house was perfect for my family of 5. Updated kitchen, nice family room and kid space too.

Oasis in the big city

Clean. accommodating, friendly. The house met our needs and then some. Loved the location being close to the medical district, shopping, and resturants.

Our stay was extremely disappointing. The house had a strong mold smell, and there was DampRid placed in the closets, which made it clear the owner was aware of moisture issues. The beds were lumpy, the furniture was dirty, and overall the home felt poorly maintained. We had to find a hotel because the home felt unhealthy and uncomfortable.The host and VRBO did not address the problems and ultimately stopped responding. The whole situation was handled very unprofessionally.I would not recommend this property.
Damp rid placed in closets to help you understand what the smell was like.
Garage sale furniture was gross and uncomfortable

Home Away from Home

The home was clean, the neighborhood was safe, and perfect for four adults. There was a gameroom with games, puzzles, and office that our children used for work. MD Anderson, museums, and fantastic restaurants that were easy to drive to. It made a not so fun visit to the hospital better with all the fun distractions during our time there. We will stay there again without hesitation.

Claire was a wonderful host! She provided very helpful information about the area and her communication was great. The house looks exactly like the pictures. It was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Location is very convenient, safe and quiet.

Love this property and the owner

Family wedding brought us globally back to Houston and this home was perfect for my son and his family from Germany ! It is very family friendly with a great yard and lovely inviting feeling to the home ! My grandchildren and parents really enjoy being there. It is our 2nd time to rent this home !

The house was exactly as advertised. Claire was very available. Only issue was the ice maker not working but we did not need it and she promptly arranged for maintenance to come evaluate. The neighborhood was beautiful and close to plenty of restaurants. Very easy interstate access. We were looking for potential places for my daughter to move when she starts graduate school at University of Houston in the fall. The location was convenient to easily get to the areas we needed to see. Also easy access to the Galleria for shopping. We had a great visit and look forward to experiencing more that Houston has to offer.

Wonderful Experience

My family and I really enjoyed staying here. It is centrally located to all of the activities that we took part in. The house was clean upon arrival. It had plenty of room for everyone. I will definitely reach out to the property owner again for our next event.

Great location for MD Anderson visits

We were visiting Houston to go to MD Anderson. Not only was the property close to the hospital but many attractions for our family to enjoy. The property is located in an older quiet neighborhood. The hosts were very attentive to our needs and responded immediately when we called them. The house was well stocked with everything you would need for your stay from pots and pans to storage containers, foil and plastic wrap and spices. Thank you Claire for welcoming our family into your home.

Thanksgiving Week

Host was accessible quickly throughout rental process for questions and concerns. The home was well stocked and spacious for cooking. The beds were comfortable, not sure on sofa sleeper the children used for it but no complaints from them. The home was clean and nicely and simply decorated and a perfect layout for families with children. Lots or games and books and outdoor space. Plenty of linen, ample parking, nearby grocery stores. Ideal location. Overall great experience, we would definitely stay again.

What a treat to have so much room while staying in Houston! We made ourselves right at home and Claire (owner) was an excellent hostess. She has a neat and tidy place. Aircon was a bit warm in Master so she had crew come out and adjust it. Also, left my precious pillow and she mailed it to me! Will be staying there again if needed. Close to grocery store, Rice Village, and restaurants!

Great House in a Nice Walkable Neighborhood!

We stayed here for 2.5 weeks. My teenage daughter had brain surgery and we needed a place to stay for 2 weeks before we could fly back home. This house is only 10 minutes to the hospital district for her surgery and follow-up appointments. Due to the surgery, they wanted her to take 2-3 walks a day. This house is in a great walkable neighborhood with sidewalks. The house is a ranch with 1 step down to the den and the laundry room. The backyard is fenced and has a swing, patio set and charcoal grill. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable including very nice appliances and pans. There were plenty of blankets and towels and all the basics needed to get by when you get in like toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, etc. I really appreciated not having to run out immediately when I got there. Claire was great to work with. We left some papers on fridge and Claire retrieved them and mailed them back to me and even emailed me the tracking number. This was a great house and I couldn't imagine a better place to stay.

Genuinely Fantastic Houston Med Center Apartment Close to Everything

Wow! Incredible stay - thanks to super thoughtful hosts who have literally thought of everything and who are super responsive and go out of there way to proactively communicate. We travel for work every month and while we've been fortunate to have stayed in some great homes, condos, and townhouses on VRBO -- this may be the nicest and best-provisioned property we've ever stayed at: Immaculately clean; new, comfortable furniture with terrific beds and high-end linens, high-speed Internet, new flat panel displays in every bedroom and in the living room; Full cable tv options including premium streaming services that come enabled with the rental; a kitchen stocked on arrival with thoughtful and useful snacks, power bars and every kitchen utensil you could ask for to cook at home. The unit itself is truly special -- top floor, high ceilings with great views of downtown Houston, NRG Stadium (within walking distance), and the medical center. Great shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores are immediately close and perhaps best for those traveling for work, the unit is a corner and is incredibly quiet. The unit is also stocked with a full-size washer and dryer and comes with ample cleaning supplies including detergent. If you are traveling with kids, the unit also comes with child-proofing tools and tons of games. They truly have thought of everything. Could not recommend the unit and the hosts more highly -- we are excited about returning to this unit on future visits!

Great Location to Houston Hospitals

I booked based on numerous stellar reviews and Claire is a Premier Host. We had issues upon arrival. Since we were staying 13 nights, I messaged Claire. I commend her responsiveness and she worked to rectify everything as quickly as she could - I am very appreciative. The home was not clean. There was a dirty napkin hanging over the ledge of the fridge. Dead bug in master closet and main bathroom rug ("it is Houston and they have insect problems" - we're from Florida - I get it to an extent). 2 beer bottles on the outdoor table with cigarette butts. During our stay, the following issues were rectified: patio chairs were replaced, baseboards were cleaned, Water pressure was resolved in the kitchen and master bath sinks. You can now get hot water in the main bathroom shower. The master bathroom fan no longer sounds like a freight train when you turn on the light! Claire added some rugs in the master bedroom to help minimize the creaky floors! The home is in a quiet neighborhood and great location. Close to grocery, shopping, restaurants, and medical centers. The photos do not exactly represent what was in the home (IE: area rugs, bed spreads, etc). Unfortunately we weren't able to use the place the last several days as my spouse ended up in the hospital longer than expected. I have no doubt the next renters will have a better experience!

The home has nice and clean space with comfy couches in LR and FR; spacious kitchen and granite counter tops; and nice dining tables for us to celebrate Thanksgiving. Nice thermostat. We needed extra blankets since the bed covers were thin. Maybe also some non-stick pans and dish rack would complete the kitchen. The home is older so some of the fixtures/cabinets are worn, maybe a bit of remodeling could spruce up the space. The host was very responsive & pleasant and took care of our needs right away.

Nice house

This house matches it's description lot's of room, clean, etc. In a nice neighborhood where you can take walks and feel safe. At the same time it is a 5-10 min drive to the stadium and MD Anderson.

Home away from home

We had a great stay and I loved that the kitchen has everything you would need to cook! The neighborhood was quiet and we felt safe taking walks in the afternoon. We also enjoyed the board games available to play.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This property is located in a very nice residential neighborhood and is so close to the medical center that you could walk there! It is virtually one mile from NRG Stadium. So if you are here for that special event or to visit a loved one, your time in traffic will not be so long. It is close to Rice University and the Museum District too. It is easy to get downtown either by the freeway or just taking Main street to downtown. You could actually pick up the rail by NRG stadium and take it downtown, but we all just drive!

Three houses off of Buffalo Speedway, which is a major street in the heart of Houston. gives easy access to the Medical Center, NRG Stadium, Downtown, the museums, and all the other major attractions in Houston. You will have alot of room and a large back yard as well.
