About the Property

A luxury holiday home on the Garden Route, sleeps up to nine people

30 Cutty Sark Avenue is a home set atop the ridge in Plettenberg Bay with views across the ocean and the beautiful Robberg Nature reserve. Its owners have paid enormous attention to detail, no expense has been spared either inside or outside. This is a home you will come back to again and again.

Nestled into the hillside this property has an indigenous garden that attracts an enormous variety of birds. Its location allows you easy access to the beach, to the Robberg Nature reserve, to the thriving town of Plettenberg Bay and beyond.

This section of the Garden Route has activities suitable for every generation:
Golfing at the Plettenberg Bay Country Club as well as the nearby Goose Valley Golf Club. In addition, a one off purchase of the Garden Route Golf Passport will give you access to numerous golf clubs in the wider area.

For bird watchers and animal lovers there are endless opportunities - from the Elephant Sanctuary to the Plett Game Reserve to the Birds of Eden and Monkeyland.

For adrenaline junkies there is no shortage of thrills on offer: bungee jumping, skydiving, mountain biking and white water rafting. Not to mention surfing and the renowned canopy tours.

Plett has become an equestrian centre - polo as well as other equestrian activities are on offer.

Walking through the Tstitsikamma trail will take you through a world you'll never forget.
The sea itself is there - for whale watching, canoing, kayaking and boat cruises, and for those who enjoy fishing they'll be in the right place.

Last, but certainly not least, Plettenberg Bay offers a variety of cultural experiences - a variety of arts and crafts available as well as markets where local fresh fruit and produce can be purchased.

Plett has something for everyone, and 30 Cutty Sark Avenue is in the middle of it all.

Plettenberg Bay is the jewel of The Garden Route and is tranquil and charming, hospitable and rather special. Originally christened “Bahia Formosa” (beautiful bay) by early Portuguese explorers, Plettenberg Bay offers the visitor miles of sweeping, unspoilt golden beaches, a dramatic rocky peninsula, intriguing lagoons and estuaries, towering indigenous forests and unpolluted rivers and sea. With its exceptional climate and beautiful view sites over the Indian Ocean, Plettenberg Bay is perfect for tourists interested in exploring, watching or just lazing.

Situated between the hills covered with indigenous Fynbos and the Bitou River is the tranquil and rural village of Wittedrift, it is a bird and nature lover’s paradise. Not too many miles down the coast is Knysna, home of the Knysna Oyster festival.

From Keurboomstrand to the Robberg Peninsula there are 15 kilometers of beaches punctuated by the river mouth and an island. The river, lagoon, bay and beaches are much used by fishing and boating enthusiasts and offers the best shore based whale watching of the area.

The Crags is situated 20 km’s from Plettenberg Bay and has become one of the must see areas, with polo fields, wildlife sanctuaries, theatre, and an abundance of arts and crafts offerings along its vibrant Cruise the Crags route.

Nature’s Valley is situated 30km’s from Plettenberg Bay and the most unspoilt of all of Bitou. This little bay’s untouched indigenous trees, forest and beautiful unspoilt coastline has been preserved since the first inhabitants of early times. It is also the only town within a national park.

Nestled in the great forests lying at the feet of the fabled Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma mountains is the quaint hamlet of Storms River offering teeming bird life, vast expanses of Cape flora, delicate ecosystems in wetlands and lagoons, gigantic trees and adrenaline pumping activities such as the world’s highest bungee jump and tree canopy tours.
