Built just a few years ago Maison Vue Des Iles has the character and appearance of a traditional plantation property. The private drive is gated and the gardens have a fine collection of tropical plants. Behind the house is a wind-cut granite outcrop covered in Bougainvillea. The interior is a real contrast, the decor is a modern take on colonial style, with white walls and sofas softened by wooden floors and furniture, a mezzanine level doesn't obstruct a view upwards 30ft to the rafters. There are huge oil paintings by local artists (including our famous neighbour Raymond Dubuisson) to provide color, none however can compete with the vivid turquoise of the sea that can be seen straight ahead through the folding veranda doors. Stepping through is breathtaking, locals believe there is no more beautiful spot on what is a tropical island paradise. The property has a range cooker, fridge, dishwasher, laundry, hifi and library. Most of your time will be spent outside, either in the ocean or looking at it from the sun deck or veranda.

About Claudette Otten
Dear Client, Welcome to the Seychelles, 'Paradise', 'Islands of Love', 'Lost Garden of Eden' - to name but a few of the names attributed to our beautiful islands, The Seychelles! Welcome, Bien venue to Maison Vue Des Isles! My husband and I and our team look forward to receiving your at MVDI and making your stay with us a pleasurable and unforgettable one! I am Claudette Otten née Jean-Louis. Although I am Seychelloise by origin, I was born and raised in Kenya and lived there for twenty-four years. In 1983 I met and married Jos Otten, a Dutchman and went to live in The Netherlands, where I have been living for thirty-three years. Jos and I have two sons. My husband and I both love doing nature walks/trails, we love gardening and snorkelling. Jos loves cycling and diving and I love making stone schulptures. Maison Vue Des Isles was built in 2008 by our dear friends Simon and Jan Rouse of The UK. Occasionally, Jos and I would give them a hand back then doing DIY jobs. My husband and I started running Maison Vue Des Isles as a Holiday Home in August of 2012. We do so with great pleasure. Since Jos' retirement two years ago, we run the establishment personally part of the year, and the other half of the year it is run by our very capable manager Ryan Savy. Please be our guest and see for yourselves just how beautiful The Seychelles really is. I promise you will not be disappointed! Thank you, and looking forward to seeing you in the very near future! Claudette Otten

Perfect Location for those seeking tranquillity and a gorgeous view
We had high expectations and were positively surprised. The cottage is set at the end of a road, and offers total tranquility. The reef in front of the house is probably the best snorkeling spot on Praslin (so we were told). In the house we found everything in perfect condition, and every day the housekeeper took care of the place, bringing our stay close to a hotel stay. Our only word of caution is for those who do not like to drive narrow roads and for those who cannot walk a few stairs. Also, we founded the sea to be quite challenging for our 10 year old son. For younger children the snorkeling might be too difficult. We would certainly stay here again if we come back to Praslin.
Wonderful like the photos
Claudette and Jos are perfect,
thank you so much for all
Thank you Albert, it was such a delight to have you stay.
Amazing property on a beautiful beach next to a small island. A car is a must, and the drive to town at night a little challenging first time around. Raymond the neighbor next door is a talented artist who is very welcoming, and has two tortoises on his property! We purchased a beautiful painting from Raymond as a remembrance of our honeymoon and stay. We were there for 5 nights during the middle of our honeymoon, and wish we had stayed longer.
Ryan was superb helping us with car/pick up/directions/advice/restaurant reservations, etc.
what a kind man!
Plan on returning, maybe with friends next time.
Incredible villa and location- beyond stellar!
La Maison Vues Des Isles is magnificent... the location is literally heaven on earth and the most pristine part of the island. We have traveled all over the world and have never experienced such a tranquil, beautiful and private site. The house is perfect, the swimming amazing, Claudette the manager is a total sweetheart and takes care of her guests like family. We barely left the villa, only to see Anse Georgette and buy food, because it was so extraordinary. The sunsets and stars are spectacular. The only neighbor is a super cool renaissance man and artist named Raymond, who is one of a kind and he treats guests like family too. We recommend this villa with the highest esteem.
Thank you, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you both and to have you stay with us. Agreed it is such a special place, a hidden gem in Seychelles.
We stayed in Mason Vue des Iles for 5 nights and it was great. The location is very peaceful and quiet, a great place to revitalise from your stressful job. The view is truly stunning.
The villa contains everything you need.
Claudette, the manager, is the most hospitable woman I have ever met. I really love Praslin and can not wait to come back! Definitely stay here again
Thank you Josta, it was lovely to meet you and your partner we hope one day to welcome you back to Maison vue des Iles.
Paradise on earth!
Maison Vue Des Isles was the perfect place for us. It was very clean and comfortable. We left the villa only twice to get groceries. Otherwise we were on the veranda enjoying the incredible view or in the ocean snorkeling off the beach finding fish, turtles, octopus, rays. We would highly recommend it for a quiet get away. Thank you for a very relaxing stay at your home.
Mike & Mary G
Mary and Mike, it was a real pleasure to meet you both. I could see you were in need of some rest and relaxation and I am delighted we were able to provide exactly what you required. There was really no need for a present, but I know whatever it is you have put in the post will be a pleasant reminder of a lovely couple and their stay at Maison vue des Iles. If you should ever return I would love to help you explore and discover the attractions the rest of the island has to offer!
Maison Vue Des Iles stands down a private drive shared with one other small guest house and just 12 meters from the Indian Ocean; just below the house down a short flight of Palm-shaded steps lies a small beach.. Immediately off shore is a shallow reef and the tiny island of Ile Malice, there are few better snorkeling spots in all of the Seychelles. The property derives its name from the collection of tropical islands which are the focal point of the stunning view from the balcony and sun deck. Anse La Blague is a quiet village it has a bus stop and a fabulous calm white sand beach protected by a shallow reef. Praslin boasts some of the most incredible beaches on Earth, plus a world heritage site The Valley De Mai once thought to be the original Garden of Eden. There are also excellent diving, snorkeling, hill walking, mountain biking, game-fishing and island hopping opportunities as well as a championship golf course at the 5* Lemuria Hotel. All this and the Creole cuisine is amazing!
