Why Thea Campbell chose Riggins
The Salmon River Casita was handcrafted by the owners, with inspiration provided by a casita we stayed in during a trip to Mexico. We fell in love with that casita many years ago and in 2014, we embarked on the journey of building our own little casita alongside the Salmon River. Three years later, in March of 2017, the construction process was completed and the casita was opened to guests. We've put a lot of time and energy into making this a beautiful and relaxing place to stay, so we ask that you treat it respectfully, as you would your own. We wish you a lovely vacation and hope you enjoy staying at the casita as much as we do!

Charming Little Casita
We absolutely loved staying in the little Casita on the river. The amenities and accommodations were just perfect! We had everything we needed and Thea was a gracious hostess! We had such a wonderful time exploring Hell's Canyon, meeting the local folks, eating a delicious burger in town and visiting the little shops. It was an unforgettable trip. We are already planning our next trip.
cute little vacation house
we stayed at the Casita two nights while we fished for steelhead as a family. There is a queen bed and two twin beds upstairs in the loft and a king downstairs. A combination dining and sitting area as you come in the door. There is a small kitten with double sink, stove, microwave and refrigerator. One of the best things for us was the electric key code access, as we arrived at different times. It is very Mediterranean in style, small but cute. There is only one bathroom which may get a little jammed up in the morning. There is an amazing view out the front of the canyon and the river, as well as the time zone bridge. We loved it, everything was clean and working. We highly recommend it. there is a place out back for a fire pit and a small barbecue grill in the front. It was perfect for us.
Great and new!
The casita is lovely with a great view of the river. Everything is new and well-appointed! Would definitely recommend!
Beautiful setting overlooking the river!
The design & craftsmanship of the casita was outstanding!! The beds were comfortable & we wanted for nothing in the kitchen & bathroom! It was the perfect couples getaway & then wonderful family getaway when our children & grandson joined us on the weekend!
The view was great. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Check in and out was very easy. The only down size was the forest fires caused allot of smoke which was no one's fault so we could not enjoy all of the great views. It was very hot and the aircondtioner worked great. We spent most our time gone enjoying what the area had to offer. It was nice to come back to such comfortable beds. Even tho next to highway did not notice
Not much traffic at night. Very peaceful and quiet.
Lovely house on the Salmon River
The house was well equipped, clean, new and located well for my family of five. My family includes my wife and my three girls aged 12, 11, and 4. We were busy with activities during our three night stay but certainly could have spent more time there as we were all very comfortable in the house. I thought that the accommodations were also very reasonably priced. When we visit Riggins again, we would stay here again. If you are staying in Riggins for a few nights, I would highly recommend the Casita.
