Easy access to east and west Matagorda Bay. Come see why they call Matagorda the Treasure of the Texas Gulf Coast and a sportsman's paradise. Fun for the whole family!

Seahorse Suite - Queen Bed, shares bathroom with Starfish Suite

Sand Dollar Suite - 2 Queen Beds, Private Bath and Private Entrance, shares a hallway with the sea glass suite
Sea Glass Suite - King bed suite with fireplace and private bathroom (master bedroom of the lodge)
Coral Cay Bunk Suite - a large bunk room with 4 sets of bunks, top twin and bottom full size, jack and jill bathroom with whirlpool bathtub and shower

Awesome Spot for a large group

This was the perfect place for our work fishing trip. Lots of places to sleep. Clean rooms. The back porch and pool were a wonderful spot to allow everyone to relax and have a good time. We will definitely be back!

Annual Extended Family Vacation Birthdays And Graduation Celebration Successful!!

Our family had an amazing weekend!! House had plenty of comfy beds, bunk beds, rooms, restrooms, eating areas where we all could fit together family of 18!! Everyone had plenty of space! We enjoyed pool & hottub! Will definitely rent again!

Hidden Gem

The lodge was perfect for our family reunion, although it was a little on the aged side it greatly served it's purpose. I think the bar at the pool needs a little attention, other than that everything else was great The host Amanda was very helpful and attentive.

Wow! This place is covered up in beds. Some places I've stayed exaggerate about how many they sleep...not this place. We could have gotten 30 in here easy. The pool/jacuzzi/bar area is great. Everyone in our group agrees that we'll have to stay here again.

Family vacation summer 2023

Had a very pleasant stay . Pool was great hot tub did not work. House was large with plenty of room for everyone. Area surrounding the pool and patio need repairs. Outdoor lighting did not function as advertised. Great location for people who love fishing just minutes from Matagorda beach

Fishing trip

This property was way too expensive for what we got! It was dirty! Toilet bowls were not cleaned. Oven was dirty. Beds were old and terribly uncomfortable. Fans looked like they had never been cleaned, covered in fuzz and dust! Bathroom shower in bedroom with two double beds has very hot water only! We expected way more for the price we paid! The owner needs to deep clean and update this property! One positive note is it had plenty of space and pool area was the nicest area.

Moderate Accommodations for a High Price

Our family has stayed at multiple VRBO homes. This one l is the most expensive with the most inexpensive finishes. Lots of improvements needed. Carpet in master bedroom wet next to bathroom, dishes in kitchen cabinets were not clean. We washed all by hand prior to use. Kitchen space not suited for preparing meals for a large group. If you are using the stovetop, you are blocking the kitchen space for everyone else. One refrigerator does not cool well and the compressor makes a lot of noise. Second refrigerator has had ice maker removed which would be nice to know before you arrived. One roll of paper towels and one roll of toilet paper per bathroom and two garbage bags provided. Seems a little tight for the price. Only personal interaction with anyone was when owner could not communicate with front door lock. Owner relative showed up to check WIFi which did not work until over halfway through our stay. Relative was very nice and asked if all was well, we did not report anything because we only had 17 hours left of our stay. Our family will find other accommodations for future visits to the Matagorda are.

Great space

Lots of room for our large family. Plenty of room for grandkids to play. Wish the weather would have been better so we could utilize the outdoor area.

Fantastic weekend!!!

Our group had a blast! The house was exactly as it was described. Plenty of room for all of us. The outside area is where we spent the majority of our time though. I would definitely recommend this place and will look to that if we travel to that area again! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay!

Family weekend

We have a large family so this house was perfect for all of us. Location is excellent. Back yard pool is a plus. Only thing I would recommend is to bring your own cleaning soap for dishes , laundry soap & dust pan. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Perfect weekend getaway

Great for large family gathering very spacious house. Nice swimming pool . With large patio area, had a minor issue received a rapid response from the owner , highly recommend Las Palmas. Looking forward to staying there again.

We have been there twice this year and we really enjoyed it! The location is perfect for the adults to visit the beach and fishing while the kiddos enjoy the pool!

Family gathering

28 of us celebrated our mother/grandmother/great grandmothers 86th birthday. The home was everything it claimed to be and more. We all had comfortable beds and plenty of eating space. The pool hot tub and covered bar area was much larger and nicer thAn we expected. Even tho Hurricane Hannah’s arrival tried to put a damper on things we stayed it thru and had a wonderful time. Can’t say enough good about this place.

Had A Good Experience

The highlight of this property is the patio/pool area. We used that to a great extent and loved it. Hot tub jets were not working, and the fans have serious issues, but we made the best of it and the pool is fabulous. We used the grill and the fire pit and enjoyed both. The house cools well, so once you cool it down it stays cool. The neighborhood is a bit run down looking, but once you get inside the compound, you feel like you are in a different world. I highly recommend.

Family Trip

I was a little worried about all the rules. Once we got there and settled in everything was great. I would recommend some more pans and pots. Most of them are to old or we just couldn't use them. Over all great place and stay there again.

Family to Matagorda

Everything was just as outlined on VRBO. The house was extremely roomy and comfortable. The pool/patio area superb! Who needs the beach when the backyard is a great entertaining spot. We enjoyed a morning at the beach, but always came back to the pool. The beds were comfortable. The A/C kept everything at a constant temperature. All in all an excellent stay for our family vacay.

This place is amazing. It was super clean. The rooms very comfortable with plenty of beds. We are outdoor people and the backyard with bar and pool was enjoyed immensely by all. My family consensus is that this place and Matagorda is a definite come back.

Padilla, Tompkins, Tyler, Le, and Cabeza's family mini vacation.

Cozy home, with lots of living space for a large family or small group. It was the perfect size for our families mini vacation with our adult children and grand children. One of the highlights of this weekend was the pool. It's size was perfect, we spent most of the trip swimming and cooking and creating wonderful memories to look back on. The owners were awesome too! We would definently do it again.
