Piso muy amplio (55M2) completamente reformado. Cocina integrada abierta a la sala de estar, un dormitorio con vistas al río, baño con ducha y bañera y WC separado. Posibilidad de una cama portátil para una persona en la sala de estar. Magnífica terraza con vistas al río.
La escalera que conduce a la casa rural es bastante estrecha y empinada y puede no ser adecuada para algunas personas que tienen dificultades para moverse (no dude en solicitar más información).

Super Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is in a stunningly beautiful setting with easy access to the river for canoeing and swimming. The gite was a generous size for a couple and was well equipped. Our hosts were friendly and very welcoming. We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday and would have been very happy to stay on for another week. We hope to return.

Great place to stay

A lovely property right on the river, enjoyed a spot of fishing and a nice dip in the river. The only downside was that the steps leading to the property were extremely hazardous when wet.

Wonderful 10/10!

We stayed for two weeks at the beginning of September and would happily go back again. The apartment has every amenity needed for a relaxing and peaceful holiday and the gardens are lovely. As the owner says, the stairs up to the apartment are not suitable for anyone with limited mobility but other than that, we would highly recommend it.

Complete calm in a beautiful setting

The Moulin des Bigoussies is a lovely setting and the gîte was perfect for us - clean, freshly decorated, light and airy and feels very spacious; two balconies to enjoy the evening light or just hang out and watch birds while drinking wine. The gardens, too, are a delight along the riverside. Le Moulin is very close to amenities in Riberac and many things to see in the area. Nathalie was a lovely host who answered all questions and made us feel very welcome. We were sad to leave such a beautiful place.

An idyllic stay!

We LOVED our stay here! The apartment was even better than photographs and had everything we needed. We visited several places but also loved just sitting on the terrace with the view of the river, bird song and the sound of the water and walking through the glorious garden. Nathalie and Thierry were wonderful hosts and provided a few thoughtful items. The only word of caution would be that anyone with poor mobility would not manage the steps which are steep and narrow. We didn’t have a problem even though we are a mature couple but it would be something to bear in mind and it is mentioned on the property details. All in all we would highly recommend a stay here ffor peace, rest and tranquility.

Beautiful location- made more special by Natasha as a host

We booked for an overnight stay with evening meal , en route to Dordogne for 2 weeks! The photos definitely don’t do this place justice. The mere fact that it’s off the beaten track makes it peaceful and unique. We were welcomed with a glass of wine, and sat in the dining area, admiring the chickens! If that doesn’t relax you, nothing will! We met other 2 couples staying there and shared a meal together that evening ( Bianca and Leo) Language may have been a barrier as we don’t speak any Dutch, but it was almost 23:00 before we realised, we had been chatting for 4 hours! If the rest of our holidays turn out to be this good, we were in for a treat! Natasha went out of her way to cater for 2 vegetarians, who don’t eat eggs either! So to make a vegan barbecue is no mean feat😀

A fairy tale part two...

After our first visit in 2022 we returned in June 2024 with and fell in love with this unique place again. The river Dronne has a strong sound here which makes you want to listen and helps you to relax and to forget your worries at the same time. You’re living next to the river in this beautiful gîte, enjoying an extraordinary view from the terrace (and the other windows, too). You can have your meals there or just read a book and relax on the terrace couch. The kitchen has everything you’ll need to prepare your meals, including oven, microwave and a big fridge. In the bedroom you’ll find a comfortable king size bed. You can hear the river here, too, but softer and well-tempered. We’ve spent many days just enjoying this awesome place, not to forget the beautifully wild garden along the river bank. There’s a base where you can just rest in the sun and tree shadows or step into the water and have a swim in the cool fresh river. There’s the possibility to use canoes to row upriver. Although you’ll find your peace here, you’re not far away from food supply and interesting places. Ribérac is just a short drive away and has a charming farmer’s market as well as well-equipped supermarkets and bakeries. We did some nice hiking tours in the surrounding. If you’re seeking for more exciting sights, you can visit Perigueux, Brantôme, La Tour Blanche, Aubeterre or Lascaux. Our hosts have been very kind and accommodating again. Oase van rust aan heerlijk stromend water.

Deze plek is door de eigenaars prachtig en comfortabel ingericht. Tijdens ons verblijf waren er werkzaamheden aan het huis van de eigenaars, we hebben daar niet heel veel last van gehad. Het eigen terras voor de gîte is heerlijk en geeft mooi uitzicht over de rivier en het groen eromheen. De tuin is groot, prachtig aangelegd en heerlijk rustig. Je kan in ligstoelen aan de oever zitten waar het water heerlijk voorbij ruist. Er zijn 2 kano’s waar je gebruik van mag maken. En dat is echt een aanrader. Je kan heerlijk een eind de Dronne afroeien, heel rustgevend! De eigenaren Nathalie en Thierry zijn zeer vriendelijk en meteen bereid te helpen wanneer je vragen hebt. In de omgeving is genoeg te zien en te doen. Een prachtig stukje in de Dordogne. Wij bevelen dit verblijf zeker aan als je rust en ruimte zoekt.

Serene Gite on the river

This is a fabulous place to to stay, I can’t rate it highly enough, beautiful gardens, on the river and you are able to swim and canoe. Close enough to town but far enough a way. The hosts are very accommodating and unobtrusive. Great place for touring the Dordongne.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à tout point de vue. Les propriétaires font en sorte que leurs vacanciers se sentent bien. Aucune promiscuité, un cadre bucolique qui donne envie de revenir; Ce que nous envisageons de faire au printemps.
