The Luxury Sea View Penthouse Suite is the best room in the house. Fabulous sea views over Scarborough's North Bay and Castle from its top floor location. Super King, (6 foot wide) 1200 pocket sprung bed, Spacious lounge area to enjoy the stunning view, new stylish en-suite with large shower, 55" Smart TV, free WiFi, bath robes, beautiful toiletries, complimentary Tea and coffee tray including real coffee, fruit teas, hot chocolate and biscuits. Dimensions 6.4m x 4.5m. Ideal for guests who want our most spectacular room and loads of space.

Important - This room is located on the 3rd floor. It has 3 Flights of stairs (49 steps) to the door. We do not have a lift facility.

It is located within a quiet area of Scarborough, yet is just a 5 minutes walk from Scarborough's North and South beaches, the town centre and historic harbour. The Helaina overlooks Scarborough's North Bay with stunning of the sea, beach, castle and miles of coastline

There is no shortage of great pubs, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The Helaina is perfectly placed for walkers, and superb local cliff walks are easily accessed from the accommodation. Alternatively a few minutes' drive brings you onto the North Yorkshire Moors. Free local parking permits are available to our guests on arrival, and the accommodation has a licensed drinks service and free WiFi throughout.

Our newly refurbished rooms are modern, stylish and very comfortable. Guests enjoy high quality en-suite facilities with soft bathrobes, large bath towels, beautiful toiletries and 1000 pocket sprung beds. Our bedrooms are packed with goodies including free WiFi, digital TV, hair driers, and refreshments including biscuits, tea, filter coffee, fruit teas and hot chocolate. Guests can expect the highest quality decor.

We offer a great breakfast menu including; Full English, Full Vegetarian, Smoked Salmon Scrambled Eggs and Bagel and a range of Omelettes and Toasties. A continental selection of fresh Cafetiere Coffee, a choice of Breakfast, Fruit and Herbal Teas, Fruit Juices, fresh Fruit Salad, Pastries, Yogurts and freshly baked Bread. Breakfast is always served to 10am on the weekends.

Great location to stay in Scarborough The Helaina was everything we wanted for our stay

The Helaina did not disappoint from arrival we were booked in and everything we needed to know was explained including parking.Room was beautifully clean and comfortable. So quiet too had a great nights sleep. Quality tea, coffee and cookies. Breakfast was so tasty and a good choice was given. Will absolutely return again

5 days of sheer luxury in a beautiful hotel that is a home from home!

Wonderful 5 star Penthouse Room with everything you could desire. Hosts Jill and Tom are extremely friendly and welcoming. Their staff are so kind and helpful keeping the rooms and the hotel spotless. The Breakfasts are just sensational, mouthwatering food, beautifully cooked then presented by Millie and Enrico who are simply gems! The hotel is perfect and beautifully maintained so if you wish to stay in lovely Scarborough, The Helaina has to be your destination. Thank You, Richard and Susan

A lovely comfortable experience

The Hotel was spotless, Milly was so welcoming and the breakfast was lovely. The view from our room was spectacular and the hotel was in the best spot overlooking the bay. I would defo stay here again. Ideal if you are going to the Open Air Theatre like we were. It’s within 5 mins walking distance. 5 stars.

High standard accommodation with good food and friendley staff.

Lovely break in Scarborough

Hotel was in a quiet area with a great view of the sea, Castle etc. small boutique hotel immaculate and tasteful decor. The room we had was lovely with a great shower. Breakfast very good and staff very efficient and friendly. If visiting Scarborough again we would definitely stay here.

We've been staying at The Helaina for many years and it never disappoints.

All staff are very polite and welcoming. They always help up up the stairs with our luggage. Tom (the owner) always comes in to say hello & to make sure everything is ok. We always stay in the penthouse suite, which is a bit of a hike up the stairs, but is well worth it when you see the fabulous views of the North Bay. Great choices for breakfast. The only thing missing is a small fridge in the room to keep drinks cool.

Jill was a good listener

Heleina is the pure apple sauce. I went for an anything will do last minute overnighter. Opened the curtains in the morning - stayed for 3 nights. Sparkling clean, uncomplicated, well thought out, perfectly located and really quite classy. I left Tom and Jill and let’s not forget Tara a happier fellow….no higher praise than that

First class.

Without hesitation if we are back in Scarborough or need to recommend a place to others this will be it. We had a warm welcome from Tom with recommendations as to where to eat. Our room was spotless + well appointed (Maybe needs somewhere to hang wet coats. (Embers). Helpful Resort guide. Try "Embers" resto if you can. Our only "misfortune" was to have an excellent breakfast in the breakfast room rather than to use the set table in the lounge overlooking North Bay. But that was our mistake.

A Lovely holiday enhanced by a Perfect Hotel.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are exceptional. The Penthouse Suite is simply divine, with magnificent views over the North Bay. The breakfasts are beautifully cooked and presented. The staff are absolute top class, friendly and amazingly helpful. The owners are lovely, making you feel like part of the family. The Penthouse Suite is simply amazing, that view from the window is just gorgeous, the bed is wonderful, the bathroom facilities are sumptuous. Would we come again..Oh Yes Please!
