Valentinos House & Pool, Costa Maresme – 20 mins from Barcelona

Located in Vilassar de Dalt, a charming village in the Maresme just 20 km from Barcelona, this beautifully restored 19th-century house offers a unique blend of history, local life, and Mediterranean charm. Fully renovated, it combines traditional character with modern comforts, including a private swimming pool 🏊‍♂️. The house sits on the village’s main square but remains peaceful and private, allowing you to experience authentic Catalan life.

Parts of the house date back to the 17th century. Inside, you’ll hear mainly birds singing and occasionally the toll of the 16th-century church bell. The upstairs bedroom has been preserved in its original state, keeping its historic character.

Layout & Sleeping Arrangements

Ground Floor: Large bedroom with two double beds (180x200 cm and 160x200 cm) and a sofa bed (160x200 cm). Two ceiling fans are available.
First Floor: Open-plan living area and kitchen overlooking the pool 🏊‍♂️. Air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The second bedroom is accessed via a short outside passage and also has a ceiling fan.
Laundry & Bathroom: Located between the ground and first floor, with pool access.

Outdoor Space
The private pool area 🏊‍♂️ is spacious and peaceful, with a table, chairs, and BBQ—perfect for relaxing or dining outdoors.

Amenities & Comfort
Double-glazed windows, central heating, and air conditioning in the living/kitchen area.

Important Notes

Stairs ⚠️: Multiple levels may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
Children ⚠️: No safety railings outside, so supervision is required.

🌿 Nature
During summer, insects such as ants 🐜, mosquitoes 🦟, or bees 🐝 may appear. No harsh chemicals are used, but insect spray is provided. The pool may occasionally contain leaves despite regular cleaning.

Historical Character
This home has a rich history. The upstairs bedroom remains in its original state, with old beams and uneven walls. Some dust may be present, which could affect allergy sufferers.

Other Information
The property has an alarm 🔒 for security only (no guest monitoring). A café/tapas bar is just outside—great for drinks and mingling with locals.
🚫 No Pets Allowed: Pets are not permitted on the property.
🚭 No Smoking or Vaping: Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the house.
🚫 Zero Tolerance Policy: No illegal drugs are allowed anywhere on the premises.

Parking & Transport
Dropping off luggage: You can stop in the Village Square to unload your bags . You may find an available space here, but please be aware that spaces are limited and it is a paid zone during the day.
The main free car park is currently closed for construction. Please look for street parking in the surrounding area.
Note: As this is an old village with narrow streets, finding a space can be difficult depending on the time or day.
Alternative: Sorli Supermarket (5-7 min walk) has a car park, but please check their signs for prices and opening hours.
Excellent transport links: a 5-minute walk to the Barcelona bus (30–40 min journey) or a short trip to the Vilassar de Mar train station.

Long Stays (21+ Days)
Utilities (water, gas, electricity, WiFi) are not included. A security deposit is required. Basic supplies are provided, and a shop is just a 2-minute walk away.
