Hill Rise

Hill Rise is a beautifully appointed pet friendly, two-bedroom apartment right in the heart of this bustling part of London. The property has been furnished to a very high standard and comes with all the amenities required for a comfortable self-catering stay.

Located just off the high street in Richmond, the apartment is located on the first floor. Walking in through the front door, the apartment opens up in to the large lounge/dining room which sees the light streaming in through its large, double-glazed sash windows. The luxury, contemporary-styled kitchen is located off the dining area and comes with a handy breakfast bar and stools from which guests can see the river.

The two double bedrooms are well-proportioned and come with plenty of wardrobe storage space. Both bedrooms also come with a handy desk space and their own TV.

Hill Rise is ideally located for guests wanting to sample the city life. It's perfect for people travelling for work, or couples wanting to enjoy a trip away to London. It is also ideally located for matchdays at Twickenham stadium.

Richmond has plenty of pubs, independent cafes and shops and is well connected for guests to get in to the heart of the city. Hill Rise is only a two minute walk from Richmond Riverside and it's amazing iconic views of Terrace Gardens on Richmond Hill. Richmond Park with its famous deer is only half a mile away and is the perfect place for a long stroll or cycle ride.

There is a paid 24hr car park only a short walk away and pay and display bays outside of the apartment which are free of charge on a Sunday.

This flat was in a great location and beautiful views from the kitchen windows of the river.

The tub is a bit slippery and the entrance hall is dark and dank but but otherwise a great stay.

Very nice flat.

Well located. Very clean. Lots of room and a very nice kitchen. Overall a wonderful place to stay and a perfect location. Had an issue with the heating, but once we contacted the owner they got it sorted immediately. The only drawback was the very small bathroom and tub.

A great location.

Easy walk with luggage from the Richmond Railway station. Don’t be put off by the dingy entrance as once you climb the stairs and enter the flat, it is charming. Agree the bathroom is tiny but ample space for three in the bedrooms and living areas. Next door to the smallest pub in Richmond, for a refreshing beverage.

Great Trip to Richmond

Property was great for family of 3. Location was excellent, and the cheese shop and pub downstairs were awesome. Great layout, everything you need for an extended stay. The communal entrance to the apartment looks pretty tired, but once you enter the actual unit, it's well updated. It is an older building, so decent amount of noise from outside and footsteps from unit above, so bring earplugs if that's an issue. Would definitely book again

The appartment is lovely and the neighbourhood is really nice. I‘ve been there a couple of times and will definitely come back again. The mouldy smell in the staircase seems to have worsened ... Maybe one of the windows can be opened for some ventilation?

2nd stay, we love the location and cozy apartment. Well appointed and clean, very convenient to have the updated kitchen. We’ll be back next year. Common area needs attention. Hallway could be better lit, and some paint and new carpeting would be a nice update.

Very nice stay but some areas of improvement.

Incredible location, very nicely renovated, generally easy to make work, surprisingly spacious. An earlier check-in would be nice (16.00 check-in for a 10.00 checkout seems a bit cheeky). The water evacuation from the bathroom sink and and bath was very slow - plumbing issues? The key into the apartment can be a bit tricky.

Feel like a local in a great little apartment in Richmond

This apartment is a gem. We prefer to stay in London suburbs to get away from tourists and we felt totally local. Apartment has everything you need (except a hairdryer) and is like a little home away from home. Its small but we fitted 4 without too many problems. Great kitchen and sitting at the breakfast bar looking out the window to the Thames was our favourite time of the day. Close to all the Richmond & Kew tourist sites and walks and easy to get into central London. Would definitely stay again. Quite a bit of noise from the apartment upstairs although we were there during Xmas party season.

I stayed here on a recent trip to Richmond and it was absolutely lovely.

It was just me, so I had more than enough space. I loved this location! Close enough to walk to the Richmond Green, down to the river for the Ferry to Hampton Court, and right next to a great little bookshop, Books on the Rise. As an American who struggles operating a 2 in 1 washer/dryer, I'll just say that this one was easy and my clothes were actually dry! Last note, there was a hurricane back a home and I was unable to fly out. I was very grateful to extend my stay here and the Finest Retreat's staff was incredibly responsive in assisting me with that. The stairs were a bit of a struggle with my suitcase, but I made it!

super location in the centre of Richmond. we used the apartment as a base for a weekend to watch rugby at twickenham. the entrance hall way needs some work

Loved Hill Rise!

We loved our recent stay at Hill Rise in Richmond. The flat was comfortable, clean, had all the conveniences, and the location was great. Short walk to charming town center, with pubs, shopping and public transportation. I would highly recommend staying at Hill Rise. Consider leaving more complete instructions on what to do with trash bags at check out.

Nicely decorated. Kitchen fully equipped with updated appliances. Very comfortable living spaces. The hallway leading up to the apartment. It had worn, smelly carpet. The wall paper was torn off the walls. Narrow staircase.

Great location - a pity the apartment hadn't been cleaned.

The flat is in a great location also well furnished with personal touches. Well equipped kitchen. On arrival (30 minutes after the designated earliest check in time) the flat had not been cleaned properly. The beds were stripped and empty, and the kitchen was dirty with food left in the fridge and the full rubbish bag left on the floor. The bathroom had also not been clean. To the owners credit, this was sorted out within an hour however given the cost, and the late check in & early check out times, this was unacceptable.

Hillrise Review

Location, decor, cleanliness, size, comfy seating. The flat was lovely and would stay again. Entrance /up the stairs before we entered the flat was shocking. Smelt of wet dog and was filthy. Wallpaper hanging off walls. We thought Omg what have we rented ! The flat was lovely but it did cause some stress before entering the apartment. Minor point but lights in kitchen need a clean. Probably wouldn’t notice it as the cleaner unless it was pointed out. The rest of the flat was immaculate. Would have scored all 5s if it wasn’t for the shared entrance.
