Amazing oasis

You feel completely isolated in your own paradis. It’s a beautiful property, with a view over the sea. Since your on a steep hill, you need to be somewhat athletic to get to the sea, but honestly, it was so beautiful above that you didn’t need to. Ideal place to relax and take in the scenery. Fabio was overwhelmingly accommodating, even when we hit some hiccups in our travel plans. So kind and so understanding!

Exceptional location

Exceptional location with access to (private) pebbled beach, opportunity to kayak from there. Note for younger families and people with difficulty walking: this is not an easy walk down to and up from the beach. There is a great sandy beach about 35 min away by car (Feniglia) as a fall back option. Amenities include oven, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, stove, nespresso machine, pizza oven and wood fired bbq... Note: no microwave, water boiler, toaster. No AC as indicated. Very nice owner who provided us with excellent tips on the area. Overall cleanliness not perfect but expected perhaps of a secluded place where the views, the tranquillity and the beach access are key.

The view!

This place is FANTASTIC. Fabio and his family are amazing people. The view is absolutely amazing. You cannot get tired of it. Keep in mind that this place is out there. There is a 2 mile+. poorly maintained road that you need to take to arrive. Once you reach the house it is 57, steep steps to walk down to the house. You will get a workout staying here. Stop at the Carrefour that is 5 miles away on the way to the house to grab water, mosquito spray, and "zampironi" at least. The mosquitoes are fierce if you don't plan for them. There are 2 refrigerators so you can stock up on groceries and not drive back and forth. Did I mention the view? It really is stunning. The beach is very rocky and difficult to reach, but worth checking out. The space is nice, but as others have noted is not level anywhere. It's a little dated, but still very nice. The pool and the views from the pool are amazing. Wonderful to cool off on a hot day. There are so many places to sit outside and enjoy the views.

Meraviglioso!

La villa con il parco è meravigliosa. Spaziosa, curata, in posizione magnifica. Circondata da un grandissimo parco/bosco che permette una perfetta privacy. Bellissima anche la piscina con vista spettacolare. Sicuramente questo soggiorno ci rimarrà nel cuore, anche per il meraviglioso cielo stellato che abbiamo potuto ammirare. Il sentiero che porta alla piccola spiaggia privata è decisamente ripido e piuttosto impegnativo. Il signor Fabio è una persona squisita e gentilissima.

Great location with amazing view

We enjoyed our stay a lot and especially loved the pizza oven and the silence with the breathtaking view on the mediterranean sea. Fabio is very nice and communication, etc. was perfect.

Amazing views for adventurous vacation

The views are truly stunning…breadth taking views from numerous spots on the property…I understand why it’s been in Fabio’s family for generations. The property is best-suited for people with an adventurous spirit…the property has steep cliffs & lots of steps (that said my kids love the place) & the drive to town can feel intrepid at times. We stayed during a particularly hot weather spell so the no air conditioning was a drag when there wasn’t a breeze. Fabio is very responsive & an overall class act.

Eine Oase in der Natur!

Wir waren als Familie mit Hund eine Woche in diesem Haus und es war einfach nur toll. Es liegt abseits in der Natur, hat einen riesigen Garten und der Blick von den verschiedensten Punkten (Haus, Sonnenterasse, Pool) ist einfach nur umwerfend. Die private Bucht mit den Kajaks war für uns auch ein absolutes Highlight. Für naturbezogene, Ruhe suchende Urlauber ist dies der perfekte Ort der Welt!

Argentario retreat

Argentario is definitely an escape, it is on the West coast of the presque-isle associated with Monte Argentario, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea - a beautiful turquoise blue vista. The host, Fabio, was always responsive by email, and his delightful daughter, Fabiola, arranged our arrival and any issues during the week. Very easy transition into the home. The house is sited on a steep gradient, built by the owners father, aesthetic and functional. Interestingly, the house has settled somewhat, with some angle to the floors, and my wife and son found this disorienting, but otherwise of no consequence. We visited during Italy's heat wave and found the rooms a bit stifling at night, even with the doors wide open. Sleeping on the lawn might be an option if the heat wave continues. The house had electrical problems, but Fabio had these attended to on a day we were away, taking cooking lessons with his sister, Flavia, outside of Rome (strongly advised). A rocky beach with kayaks is a 10 minute steep walk down, but with rewards of beautiful, comfortable water and great kayak opportunities. An outdoor oven was useful for fish bought at the fish market in town (15 minutes away). Overall a very beautiful location. Probably too challenging for anyone with mobility issues. Realize that you are remote, but it is a safe and comfortable retreat,

Posto incantevole

Abbiamo passato 2 settimane da sogno. Spiaggia privata con mare trasparentissimo, piscina a sfioro con vista sull'arcipelago toscano, terrazzo all'ombra, arieggiato e fresco tutto il giorno. I proprietari ci hanno invitato nella casa adiacente, dove stavano alloggiando in quel periodo, per offrirci un aperitivo e fare due chiacchere. Persone davvero cortesi e interessanti. Non abbiamo nemmeno sentito l'esigenza di fare gite in barca. Una volta che entri in questa casa, hai tutto. Speriamo di tornarci presto.

Fabulous House by the Sea

Our family just completed a wonderful week at Fabio's house on Monte Argentario. The house, the property and the views are simply incredible. We loved the beach and the pool. Basically, we never wanted to leave the property, and rarely did other than to drive into town to get provisions.

Absolutely perfect

This house is incredible. We spent a week here towards the end of the summer season and by the end of our stay we didn't want to leave and we were already trying to find a time we can come back. The house gives you a sense of complete privacy and peacefulness, and there are so many different areas to relax, read and sleep. It has everything that you could possibly need to enjoy yourself for a week without having to leave. The pool was perfect on the hot summer days and also made it easy to cool off after walking back from the small private beach in front of the house.

Ein rustikales einfaches Steinhaus, gemütlich und mit allem was man braucht eingerichtet und vor allem mit tollem Blick auf die Bucht. EIn riesiges Grundstück, eingezäunt (ideal mit Hund) und vielen abgesetzten Terassen. Auf einer Terasse der Pool, auf der anderen eine TT-Platte, ein Steinkohleofen zum Pizzabacken und tolle Liegeplätze. Der Gärtner kommt ab und an und gießt die schönen Pflanzen. Ca. 8min auf steilem Weg zum eigenen Strand. Tolles Wasser und ideal zum Schnorcheln. Man darf auch die Kanus benutzen. Toller Urlaub zum Ausruhen. Aber auch die Umgebung lohnt für Ausflüge (Sorano, Solvano, Pitigliano, Capalbio oder Giglio).

Lovely house in the most gorgeous spot

Our family of four, including two children aged 13 and 11, absolutely loved our stay here. The house is at once incredibly simple and yet entirely complete with everything you need. The views are stunning from every angle. The terraced nature of the property creates many wonderful opportunities for exploring or time alone. We hiked down to the beach, used the sea kayak to paddle around the gorgeous cove there, swam in the pool, played ping pong, had a barbecue, read books while watching the sun set. It can get very warm in the summer (we were there in July), but does cool off at night. That said, those accustomed to air conditioned should know there isn’t any here. I would love to go back!

A slice of Heaven

I spent a wonderful week with my family at this spectacular place. The house offers incredible views of the terraced landscape, the crystal blue sea and the islands of Giannutri and Giglio. There is enough space for people to find their own idyllic spot either under the sun or in the shade and to gather together under the outdoor loggia for a wonderful meal caressed by the cool mountain and ocean breeze. The pool was a welcomed bonus during the high heat of the day or for whomever did not feel like taking the hike to the private beach below the house. I would recommend the house to anyone who is looking for the perfect relaxing Italian vacation by the sea.

The villa is even more beautiful than on the pictures. We were amazed about the stylish and very clean house (inside and outside) on several levels. Lots of fantastic different lounge spaces outdoors around the house, to chill and enjoy sun and hills and sea, terrific pool. The owner Fabio was very helpful and friendly, when handing over the key personally and explaining everything to know, nice book with pictures of all beaches on the island. With the car it is about 15 minutes to Porto Santo Stefano, we recommend Trattoria Il Moletto and Pizzeria Regina Napoli. More upscale the new restaurant Dama Dama in the golf club above Porto Ercole, worth the 30 minutes car drive. And don't miss the trip to Saturnia, the famous warm water thermal river (no entry fee). We, 2 adults + 2 kids from Zürich, will definitely consider to come again.Thanks a million, Fabio

Fantastic!

Fantastic house with fantastic garden on a fantastic position with fantastic view - what else do you want for your holidays!? The owner is very nice and it is a pleasure to stay in his property! Highly recommendable for people who want to spend a quiet and relaxing time and who don't need restaurants and nightlife in walking distance.
