The house dates from the 13th century and is located in the village square of Castelsagrat, an authentic medieval bastide in southern France. This magnificent holiday home has recently been completely renovated, tastefully and comfortably furnished and suitable for up to 5 persons.
From under your own 'arcades' (medieval arches) experience the typical French village life. Villagers get a baguette from baker Alain, a piece of French cheese at the 'épicerie' and the local farmers exchange the latest news on the village square. Across the square the glasses and cutlery tinkle on the delightful cool terrace of the village restaurant.
In the courtyard surrounded by medieval walls, the 'cour', you will enjoy the southern French sun and shade in complete privacy. You can relax in the lounge area, barbecue, drink a delicious glass of local wine under the olive tree or take a refreshing dip in the pool. In the evening you will enjoy the beautiful lights and the stars. If you prefer watching the typical French village life you can also sit down under your own arcades at the front of the house.
La Maison de Monsieur Calbet is located in a beautiful area which is also known as the Tuscany of France, which in spring and summer is packed with lively antique markets and bustling night markets.
