The apartment was clean. WiFi worked intermittently. First they gave wrong password. Then it shut down intermittently and electrical cords had to be sent by someone who set it up. Limited towels 1 for each person no extra…., 2 garbage bags for 4 days. Given coffee but no machine to use the pods. No instructions on were items and passwords to be found. Last but not least on arrival time you must walk 7 blocks to get the entrance keys.

The pictures are very out of date. There is no TV, the coffee espresso machine did not work. The elevator was pretty scary (we have been on several European elevators, it was not well kept, nor was the staircase (dirty, litre, masks, random garbage). Once we checked in the host did not respond again. I notified them of some concerns with no response. I would like a full refund but I doubt that would happen. Buyers remorse. I am pretty lenient with reading other reviews, cautious about travellers that might be over tired or not used to travel and accommodation expectations in other countries. I had seen previous negative reviews on this location but tried to look past based on our years of travel experience. BE AWARE! NOT WORTH THE PRICE THEY ARE CHARGING. VERY MUCH A, “gotcha situation”. Happy travels; overall the people we met outside of the property were amazing, friendly and kind. We loved Barcelona, …just not this place. I would have liked to take pictures to share but my wife says I can only take pictures of nice things…

The host did a great job of communicating with us when we had questions. The washer/dryers worked pretty well which was important. There were two toilet areas and two showers although we only used one. The showers are very small for sure. Learning how to shower in tight spaces took a day or two. It was a very comfortable, nice place in a more residential area that had plenty of amenities for people staying for a week. There were a few things that needed to be worked on, a chair, electrical connections, leveling of the under counter refrigerator, fix the broken sink off the one bedroom. The sleeper sofa was also great as well as being able to open the balcony doors to allow the exterior air to help cool the place. The interior AC work well. Very pleasant place to stay. This likely deserves mor like a 4.4/4.5 for the location and cost but I can only use full stars.

The location was excellent. We were able to walk just about everywhere. I don’t think the property description accurately indicates how small the elevator is. We only used it when we had our luggage, otherwise we used the stairs. We had to use the elevator one person (with luggage) at a time due to its small size. This isn’t a problem but just be aware of this. The apartment seemed to be clean overall & had most everything you might need but it is old with stains on some furniture, a cracked bathroom sink, and a broken shower head. The front bedroom door to the balcony had a gap at the bottom and did not seal along the frame. Traffic noise was bothersome in that bedroom. Our biggest complaint was the shower head in the front bathroom would not properly fit on the wall attachment. It was broken. In order to use the shower, the shower head had to be handheld, being careful not to get water on the floor outside the curtain. If you needed two hands to wash hair, you had to put the shower head on the floor. Due to the small size of the shower space, this made using that shower awkward. Except for the elevator, most of these issues could be fixed to make for a more comfortable stay and they should be fixed. I tried to report the shower issue but received no response. For a basic apartment in a good area, this apartment was fine. If you want a more luxurious accommodation, look elsewhere. The price wasn’t that cheap and there are other apartments that may be better cared for.

It is indeed quite small, as is often the case in historic buildings in the area. We're sorry to hear that some aspects of the apartment did not meet your expectations. While we strive to maintain a clean and well-equipped space, we understand your concerns regarding the condition of some of the furnishings and fixtures. We take this feedback seriously and have already scheduled maintenance to address the cracked sink, the broken shower head, and the balcony door seal. We also apologize that you didn’t receive a response when you reported the issue during your stay. That’s certainly not the level of communication we aim for, and we’re looking into what may have gone wrong in that instance.
