Great apartment near food and public transportation. My husband, my mother in law and I stayed there with for 3 nights and enjoyed the apartment! When we had a minor hiccup with shower water coming out of the shower (user error, nothing wrong with the apartment!) and needing extra towels, they gladly provided us more towels the next day even though they don’t usually provide extra towels. The elevator is very small but it wasn’t an issue. We just took a couple trips to get our luggage up and down. AC worked great and the beds were comfy. Overall it’s a great apartment and I’d stay again!!

Great Gothic quarter stay for our first time in Barcelona. Two baths were great, offset the fact that the showers were very small. Extremely comfortable living quarters and primary bedroom. Very good communication with host and overall an amazing stay!

The property was in a rough section of Barcelona. There were homeless people all around, and it appeared to be an area that was in decline. There was construction each day of the week, which started around 8am and went until 8pm. The elevator which is only large enough to get one big suitcase in was broken for two of the 7 days we were there. They did get it fixed after two days, but if you had to haul suitcases up 20 flights of stairs, it would be a nightmare. All communications are AI and it is very hard to get anywhere because the responses are quick, but generic. At around 350 a night, I think you can do better.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, Bob. We’re pleased to see that you rated your overall experience 8/10, and we’re glad the elevator was repaired during your stay. We would like to clarify that, as is standard in residential buildings, the elevator is maintained and serviced by an external specialist company, so any technical breakdowns and the timing of repairs are outside Ola Living’s direct control. We understand that having to use the stairs while it was out of service was inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience while the issue was being resolved. Regarding the surrounding area and the construction works you mention, these are also circumstances outside our control. Barcelona is a busy and constantly evolving city, and construction activity and the characteristics of the surrounding neighbourhood can vary over time. Finally, we appreciate your comments regarding communication. While we use automated tools to provide quick assistance, our team is always available to intervene personally when a situation requires it. Regards, Sara Guest Service Manager
