Review from a American:The apartment was very clean and well-appointed. You will likely find everything you need, but not a thing extra. It is just a few minutes walk from a tram stop which runs every 15 minutes. The ZVV app is easy to use and in English. As we had a group of four, it was less expensive for us to use Uber most of the time (which were readily available, if not a little small for four adults), but when it was just one or two of us heading out, the public transportation was very convenient. The kitchen had everything we needed to make some simple meals: tacos, spaghetti with bolognese, and roasted chicken breast and vegetables. You’ll want to check the cabinets before you head to a grocery store because there may or may not be staples like salt and pepper. The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The drains all worked well. The washer and dryer were very convenient and unlike many dryers I’ve encountered in Europe, this one legitimately dried clothes. Be aware that it seems to vent into the bathroom, so it gets steamy in there! We stayed here at the end of July and the weather was hot. Two days were in the 90s. Opening the windows at night and making use of the exterior blinds during the day kept the temperature in the apartment tolerable. We ran a couple of fans to keep comfortable. The host was quick to respond to questions and easy to work with. If I find myself in Zurich in the future, I would stay here again.

Everything as advertised, beautiful apartment

The apartment is exactly as pictured and in a very nice quiet neighborhood. Outside of city center (definitely uber worthy based on the giant hill you go down to get into town) and literally next to the zoo. Lots of space with a nice kitchen but very stark pantry if you wanted to cook. The shower is also very tiny but there is a bath tub separate. The host responds very quickly and is so helpful! The balcony even in cooler weather was fantastic to sit out in the morning with a cup of coffee. Needed to leave windows open to sleep as it was quite warm in the apartment even when it was cool outside but until the birds woke up, the neighborhood was silent so it wasn't an issue.

Great location

You cannot beat this location. It is quiet and the zoo is right outside your door, including the Zoo Cafe which is open to non-zoo visitors. The tram is also very easy to access which takes you right into the heart of Zurich. It was also easy to be on the first floor for stroller access with our toddler. The owner of this property was very responsive and helpful. I was surprised by the kitchen - it was not well stocked for being a high-end kitchen. I would recommend to the owner to stock with more pantry and kitchen essentials, including things like food storage containers. The heat was also difficult to manage in the bedrooms and we ended up opening a window in one bedroom to keep it under 26 celsius. Overall this was a good property for our 10-day stay.

Property owner is very responsive. My VRBO messages, text messages, and phone calls were answered promptly. Everything is as described. The location is perfect because it was a short walk to the tram that took us to the grocery stores, Zurich's city center , and Zürich Hauptbahnhof. It does get loud outside because of people going to the zoo but when the sun sets, it is quiet. Use a credit card that does not charge a foreign transaction fee because VRBO charged the rental stay in British pound. I've been to a lot of European rental property and this is the biggest one. Lots of room to accommodate my family of 4 adults. The down side is the kitchen utensils are sparse. There are a lot of dishes, bowls, and glasses. Pots and pans and cooking utensils are the bare minimum.

We stayed here as 2 couples to explore Zurich and the surrounding areas. It was a lovely light, clean apartment with almost everything you could ask for (just no microwave, but that was absolutely fine for us!) " lovely, very comfy double beds, a dining table for meals and an outdoor space to sit a chill in the evenings. Transport links into the town were super...just a 2min walk to the tram stop and several trams took us down to the city centre on a very regular basis (we all got Zurich cards which were fantastic for public transport). A quiet area (no bars etc, again perfect for us!) Although the zoo was literally at the bottom of the road and a sports centre across the road so it did get a bit busy with folk enjoying their activities...nothing to complain about though. Nearest supermarket was a tram ride away, but we just stopped off in the city for whatever we needed before heading back for the evening.All in all I would highly recommend the location, the apartment and the city!!
