Cabin set among nature
The cabin feels new and is beautifully decorated with loving attention. It is on a wooded creek with a pair of bald eagles making regular appearances. I kept looking for a moose. The cabin is small with not much space for a suitcase or food supplies. The kitchen is frustratingly small. Think we were the last guests of the season and the outdoor living furniture put away. Probably lucky to have got to use it at all. Enjoyed the natural setting and being warm and dry while the rain fell.
Thanks for staying with us.
The cabin comes with a well appointed kitchenette as pictured in our VRBO listing. It has a microwave, nu-wave cooktop, coffee pots (2) (additionally coffee and filters were provided), toaster, new dinnerware, silverware, pot/pans, glasses, utensils and a small refrigerator. Previous guests enjoyed how well equipped it was. There are six cabinets for food storage, most being empty so I am surprised about your "food storage" comment for a two night stay. I am sorry you were disappointed.
You were the last guest of the season and a last minute reservation. Rain had been predicated and I didn't imagine you would using the "outdoor" space as it was cold and wet during your stay. In the future I will ensure it stays out till the end of the season.
We frequently do get moose, bear, eagles, otters, beavers and many different birds that visit the property, but they are wild creatures and have a mind of their own. Hopefully, you did get to see a moose during your stay in Alaska.
Thank You, Scottt
Suite was just what we needed. Close proximity to Seward and Kenai Fjord National Park. Home was immaculate and very comfortable. Watched bald eagles through the windows. Everything was great and well organized. thank you
Thanks for staying with us! Glad you enjoyed the area and had such great weather! Hopefully, you will get back to see us again and do some more fishing!
This small efficiency cottage sets on the Stone Creek, which draws in lots of wild life. We loved being met by a Bald Eagle upon our arrival. We had the joy of watching the eagle numerous days while we were there. We were also met by the owner Craig with frozen and smoked salmon. Additionally, he'd left a bottle of wine for us inside. A very nice touch. The cottage itself is small with only a couch, bed and an elevated table with bar stools. The bed was super comfortable. Other reviewers have loved the flannel sheets. We did not. The couch is a hide-a-way bed. There were extra flannel sheets for that if needed. The flat screen tv was great. The kitchen is more a "Kitchenette" with a very small office-size refrigerator and small bar sink. The freezer portion was frosted over and could not keep ice cream frozen (ours became soup.) There are two coffee pots, which is good since the Keurig stopped working by the third day. Since we are not pod-coffee folks, we had no idea how to fit it. We notified Scott when we left but we are positive he would have fixed it if we had notified him. The other coffee maker is the traditional drip pot and it worked great. There is no stove or oven. There is a microwave and an outdoor grill. Since we (or I) had not intention of cooking, it wasn't a problem, but potential renters need to be aware of the limitations of the kitchen. The cottage could use a chair and ottoman or recliner as two adults sitting side-by-side on the sofa looking to the right to see the television isn't comfortable. For such a peaceful setting, the rumble of highway noise could be annoying. The drive to town is short and not an issue.
Thanks for staying with us!
Glad you enjoyed the cabin and your stay. We try to make it as comfortable as possible for our guests and will consider an arm chair/recliner...thanks for your recommendation.
We really enjoyed our time there! Hosts were friendly and gave us lots of ideas for places to eat and things to do. We can't wait to go back!
Thanks for staying with us and we hope to see you again soon!

Great location just north of the town of Seward.

Great view of the creek, quiet neighborhood, extremely clean, and furnished with a keen attention to detail.
