Stunning Whitby Penthouse Apartment with Abbey View

Our Luxury 2 bed apartment ‘The County Loft’ in the coastal resort of Whitby North Yorkshire is available to let.
The County loft is a beautiful large 2 bedroom penthouse apartment overlooking Whitby Abbey, it’s a 5 minute walk down the hill into the centre of town and the Harbour. The apartment boasts a large oak modern fully equipped dining kitchen, a separate large sitting room with a large selection of books and DVD’s, 2 large double bedrooms both with smart T.V's and a large bathroom with Jacuzzi bath.
The property is in a residential area of Whitby which has no parking restrictions, although parking is on a first come first serve basis but we have always got parked no problem within a few yards of the property even in August.
The property is packed with character, has exposed beams in all rooms with beautiful views of the Abbey, harbour and the countryside around Whitby.

The apartment sleeps 4 with the option to sleep 6 (ideal for teenagers or children) with two extra single beds in the double bedroom. We have a king size bed in the main bedroom.
The 2 extra beds, extra towels and bedding will be provided for an additional cost of £10 per night (or just £40.00 if staying for a week). If you require the apartment to sleep 5 or 6 please inform us when booking.

This property is furnished to the standard of our second home and is superbly equipped in every area.

Lovely apartment right where you need it

We had a lovely stay and the apartment was a great base for myself and two children with no car - right behind the train station although admittedly up a short steep hill and stairs. Only knocked off one star because I think the bin needs cleaning but that should be easily sorted. Walk to sandsend great suggestion and playground in panett park a big win. We love Whitby!

Penthouse apartment. Whitby

Absolutely amazing apartment. Everything spotlessly clean and all looked like new. Beds very comfortable. Everything in apartment that you would need for a self catering holiday. I was slightly worried prior to going as I am sight impaired and there are three flights of stairs to the apartment but these were no problem. They are all internal , fully carpeted with sturdy handrail and were wide and well lit. Excellent communication with owners. They kindly allowed us to check in earlier than stated and sent us plenty of useful information. We were blessed with beautiful weather and could explore Whitby at its best. Plenty of lovely restaurants and even though we had one meal at the famous Magpie our favourite was the Abbey Wharf. Best breakfast we found was Battery Parade Cafe right at the end of the prom, underneath Fisherman’s Wife restaurant. All in all we enjoyed our much needed break and will definitely return to both town and apartment.

Fabulous flat

We had a fabulous time staying at the flat. Gorgeous views of the Abbey, very comfortable rooms and a really well-equipped kitchen. Centrally located, just a short walk from the Co-op and railway station. The only downside was the parking, we couldn't find anywhere to park near the flat during our stay - not ideal with a toddler in tow.

Wonderful Views

Our third stay in this fantastic property, we love the location, very handy and the apartment is comfortable and well fitted out with everything you need to cook a good hearty breakfast. We ate out for other meals but there'd be no problem if you wanted to eat at base for dinners. Great comms prior to our stay and its lovely to go back somewhere you know you will have everything you need.

Lovely stay in a fabulous apartment.

The owner sent an email with all the info we needed to get into the apartment plus loads of info about the area, recommendations of things to do, walks, places to eat etc…. which was really useful and much appreciated. The apartment had everything we needed and more for our long weekend stay, beautifully furnished, very clean and super comfortable beds and sofa! Great selection of DVD’s and a PS4 which delighted the 15 yr old! Just a few minutes walk into town, parking for us was a bit of a nightmare the first evening but it was a VERY busy bank holiday weekend so we didn’t expect anything else - we managed to find a spot the next morning and the car stayed there til we left! Honestly couldn’t fault anything about our stay, thanks!

Whitby County Hotel Loft Apartment

A fabulous, smart, tastefully decorated top floor apartment with bags of room, nicely set out and easy to understand appliances. Great clear directions and instructions loads of local advise. Would highly recommend.. yes we would use again..5 minutes walk to town centre and all the attractions Brilliant brilliant brilliant !!

Wonderful stay in a beautiful appartmentt

Its the second time we have stayed at this lovely appartment. It has all you need with great views of Whitby. The location is perfect. Yes we had glorious weather but made all the better by the comfort and coziness of this fab apartment. Without doubt we will be coming again in the future.

Beautiful apartment

What a super place, the apartment was beautiful. There was everything we could possibly need, it was comfortable, spotlessly clean and warm and cosy, so much that we were sad to leave. The location is just a few minutes walk into town and lots of local information provided by the owner. We were disappointed not to have had the time to do the walk to Ruswarp to sample Jacksons pork pies, but it's on the list for next time. We had a fantastic stay and will be back again.

Our favourite apartment

This was our third stay in the apartment, so we obviously love it! As before, everything we could need is provided, as well as well stocked bookshelves for the kids and grown ups. Everything is always immaculately cleaned, and the location is ideal for exploring Whitby, or for heading out of town by car. Already can't wait for our next stay, many thanks Graham and Kerry!

GREAT penthouse apartment!

We stayed in Whitby under unfortunate personal circumstances - the passing of my Mum. This apartment was fantastic, and the hosts were very accommodating and pleasant. The views over the abbey were spectacular, and the whole apartment was cozy and warm. The location of course, is highly convenient to explore the town on foot, and there are tremendous walks right from the door. The whole space has a warm ambient Coziness which was perfect for us to balance what we were dealing with personally. This was a great bolt hole for us. Loved the smart TVs and fast internet, and has no problem finding parking spots for our car in the times we went out. The area, whilst being only a few hundred yards from the Marina, is very quiet. All in all, five stars for everything. Thank you Graham and Kerry.

Fantastic location gorgeous property

We had a great time exploring a side of Whitby not really seen before and the location was great for the usual haunts. The host is so helpful and goes above and beyond to help with anything. The property itself is beautiful. Photos don't do it justice even though they are great

Whitby stay.

The apartment was lovely! Everything you could want, very close to town and all Whitby has to offer. The top floor flat was at the top of a fairly steep hill but I am in my late 70’s and my husband is in his mid eighties and we had no problems. The second bedroom was not ideal for 2 adults, our son’s are in their late 40’s, but more suited to younger people.
