Great place to relax!
My husband and I stayed a few nights with our best friends to relax and unwind. This place delivers what it promises. Love the cabin feel and not too far from home.
A wonderful little house tucked away in a magical garden!
We absolutely loved the house and all it’s quirky little details. You could walk around over and over noticing new things each time. The outside was beautiful, even in January. We read all the previous reviews so we were prepared and that made it easier to tackle some of the small inconveniences like bringing smaller bags instead of a large suitcase to carry upstairs and bringing extra blankets for the downstairs since it was super cold during our visit. Overall, the house is even more beautiful than the pictures. I booked my next stay at the house on our first night.
Unbelievable forest in the city
If you are looking for a place to stay to escape, this is an amazing property in which you will forget you are in the city. From the eclectic decor on the inside to the lush flora on the outside, this place is remarkable. If you are looking for a truly relaxing, clean, and peaceful place to get away, you have to experience Little Forest Hills.
Cute hide away
Great little spot my parents, wife and I loved it. Just outside the crazy city of Dallas and beautiful Fort Worth area. The house was perfect much better then staying at a hotel.
Charming house with caveats
The house was charming, for sure. It was very difficult to maneuver around hauling luggage up a spiral staircase and having to go up & down it to use the 2nd bathroom at night. The parking was very difficult. Our Ford Edge didn’t fit in the tight narrow driveway & the street parking was equally as narrow. The downstairs was cool, the upstairs was hot. We had to buy a fan. The light were all really dim, made it challenging in the evening. The house was adorable but not practical.
What makes this House unique
May you enjoy the ever-changing palette of the canopy filled with over 50 Japanese Maples, Bald Cypress, Bamboo and old Pecan tree amidst a garden of low-lying Aralia, Oak Leaf Hydrangea, Creeping Jenny, Mahonia, ferns and pond. The wildlife comes to join with birds, toads, raccoons, owls, opossums, and the occasional armadillo finding refuge in this beautiful escape.
