Welcome to this lovely first floor apartment, set in a Victorian house with the original tiled entrance and communal area, in the most westerly major town in Cornwall. The apartment has a beautiful bay window where you can sit and watch the world go by. The bedroom has an en-suite shower room, whilst the kitchen/living area is open plan. Newly refurbished in 2023 with a modern light kitchen where you will find everything you need for your stay. There is no TV, however Wi-Fi is available for you to stream from your devices.
Penzance is easily accessible by public transport with the train station being only ½ mile away, as is the bus depot. If you bring your car, you can leave it when you go out as everything you need is within walking distance; in peak season it is much quicker to catch the train or bus to visit places like Mousehole and St Ives, as parking can be pretty stressful. Penzance has a large geothermal outdoor saltwater pool which is 1 mile away, with the art deco lido on the beach with breath taking views of St Michaels Mount (booking is recommended). As you would expect, there are plenty of beaches to choose from, with the nearest being Penzance Promenade, although there are plenty of sandy beaches to choose from. The area is popular with artists and photographers as the mild climate provides semi-tropical plants in the many gardens, and it is also a great place for walkers who want to enjoy the miles of coastal paths.
Coastal attractions include the Minnack Theatre and Porthcurno beach as well as Lands’ End; the picturesque market town of Marazion with the impressive St Michaels Mount and Mousehole are well worth a visit. Penzance has a wide variety of restaurants, pubs and cafés with many housed in old and historic buildings, and being a harbour town, there is no shortage of fish and shellfish.
