Moba Vida - Eco Tiny House Zwischen Korkeichen

Enjoy the tranquility of nature, the fantastic views and the serenity for which the Alentejo is so known. MOBA is a sustainable holiday accommodation in the middle of nature and yet within walking distance of the very original small village of São Luís - at the same time it is only 15 km to the magnificent beaches of the Costa Vicentina. There is a pool and you get a breakfast basket every morning so you can start the day relaxed.

The reduced, clear design of this tiny house leaves plenty of space to breathe, unwind and contemplate the surrounding nature. Due to the complete glass front and the continuation of the building's contest to the covered terrace, the border between inside and out is completely blurred. However, due to the otherwise extensive omission of windows, a very cozy, almost already cave-like atmosphere is created at the same time. The panoramic view gives you the feeling of always being in the middle of nature in the entire living room.

The building structure and the interior are made entirely of wood, the facade of cork, which makes the house embed itself excellently in the environment, which mainly consists of cork oaks. At the same time, cork has excellent insulation properties, is highly weathering-resistant, non-flammable and, like wood, a renewable building material. As a result, the house has even received a certificate for sustainable construction from the University of Minho.

The house is completely water and energy-park, the electricity requirement is 100% covered by solar systems (incl. Well pump and hot water). We only use ecological detergents and detergents as well as dish soap, etc., do without disposable dishes and offer our guests free spring water to avoid the garbage generated by plastic bottles.

The house has about 38m2 of floor space, incl. Bathroom with walk-in shower, open sleeping and living room with double bed (1.60 x 2 m), kitchenette and dining area, as well as the covered terrace with comfortable beanbags. In the outdoor area directly in front of the house there is a hammock.

MOBA...
comes from Monte do Barranquinho, which is the original name of our beautiful, naturally wild valley. It covers 10.5 hectares mainly wooded with cork oaks, pines, olive and strawberry trees (Medronheiros), is traversed lengthwise by a stream and offers plenty of free space and hidden places to relax, explore and observe nature.

We have 4 different accommodations, which are mainly aimed at nature-loving guests, who want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city and place great value on peace, privacy and family atmosphere on holiday.

We have a fruit and vegetable garden for self-sufficiency, sheep for handrail cleaning, chickens for daily fresh eggs, honey bees and two very dear dogs on our premises.

In addition, there is a small fenced pool (Ø 5 m / 1.5 m deep) at the main house, which is about 300 m away. It is shared and operated with a saltwater system, which is very skin-friendly and eye-friendly.
Guest access
The entire house as well as the surrounding area are private. The rest of the property, incl. Gardens and pool is common area, so is also used by us and other guests.
Other things to note
Breakfast: You get a daily breakfast basket brought directly to the accommodation, with fresh eggs, rolls, butter, cheese, honey/jam and some fruit (depending on the season and availability from the own garden). Coffee & tea as well as vinegar, oil, salt, pepper and sugar are available as basic equipment in the accommodation.
