The house

The house honours traditional Andalusian architecture without giving up a single comfort. Its thick walls hold the temperature beautifully — cool and pleasant in the warmer months, warm and snug when the evenings draw in — exactly as guests describe again and again in their reviews.

Every detail has been chosen with care: rustic wooden furniture, Andalusian craftwork, exposed beams and decorative touches that make the space warm and welcoming.

There are five spacious bedrooms, three full bathrooms (one en-suite), a large living room with a wood-burning fireplace, and several sitting areas to relax, read or work in peace.

The kitchen is generous and fully equipped for long stays, with everything you need to cook comfortably for up to ten.

The whole house is on a single level, which makes it especially easy for families with young children, older guests or anyone travelling with pets.

Outdoor living

One of La Mejorana's greatest draws is the outdoors.

The estate has a private saltwater pool surrounded by olive trees and sun loungers. There's also a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with a barbecue area and two pergolas with alfresco dining, ideal for long lunches or dinners under the Andalusian sky.

At night, with no light pollution, you'll take in one of the most breathtaking starry skies many guests say they've ever seen.

A special experience — private chef

For those who'd like to enjoy local cuisine without leaving the house, a private dining experience can be arranged on request: a local chef prepares traditional Andalusian dishes at the property, serves, and leaves the kitchen spotless — so you only have to relax and enjoy the evening.

Wonderful in every season

La Mejorana comes into its own in autumn, winter and spring. Central heating reaches every room in the house — bathrooms and hallways included — and the wood-burning fireplace makes the evenings especially cosy. The nights turn crisp and clear, and the thick walls keep the warmth in. There's WiFi at the property, with 4G coverage as backup, so you can stay connected and get work done — though, as often happens deep in the countryside, the connection can vary. In autumn the landscape transforms with the olive harvest and the golden light of the Andalusian countryside, and by spring the whole estate comes alive in green.
