What makes this property unique
Llanystumdwy is a very pretty and friendly little village on the border between the mountains of the Snowdonia Park and the more coastal plains of the Llyn Peninsula. The village is famous as being the birthplace of Lloyd George, the British Prime Minister during the First World War. His childhood home is just down the road from the cottage and a museum commemorating his life is well worth a visit. There's a great pub serving local food on your doorstep and a stocked fishing river just up the road.
Bodfan is also a great base from which to explore the whole of North Wales. The seaside village of Criccieth is just a 5 minute drive away (and has the best ice cream in the world) and the Snowdonia mountains are only 15 minutes further on. There's pony trekking, sailing, paintballing, go carting and cross country Segway riding all available within a short distance. The petting farm in nearby Chwilog is our family's favourite day out (despite the fact that we live on a farm) and should not to be missed. Take a picnic and enjoy the fabulous views as the children play with the newborn lambs.
