Welcome to Villa Casasco, an imposing modernised 1910 liberty villa that is a perfect place to unwind with its laid-back luxury.

The private villa is tucked into the valley between Lake Como and Lake Lugano just over the border in Switzerland, this five-bedroom villa has grand and impressive proportions, so you will enjoy tranquillity, mountainous views and nature on your doorstep.

The villa is situated at the top of a secluded hill with parking and gated entrance, perfect for privacy.

Villa Casasco is a contemporary liberty villa that offers space, tranquillity and privacy in equal measure and yet only a 5 minute walk away is our local store in the village or take an 8 minute drive into San Fedele for more extensive amenities should you require them for your stay. The drive to Argegno (lakeside) is approximately 20 minutes down the mountain.

Boasting a wonderfully sunny and secluded hillside setting alongside its sprawling grounds extending to woodlands with pines, larches and chestnut trees, a private heated swimming pool (decommissioned during the winter months), sun deck and shaded pergola providing a perfect place for al fresco dining.

Villa Casasco has had no expense spared in its refurbishment, its serene and sleek interior offers an inviting holiday haven in which to enjoy quality moments together and opportunities to make wonderful memories.

The villa offers spacious living inside and out, the ground floor benefits from a fully fitted, well equipped kitchen and breakfast room where you can enjoy those leisurely mornings together. Alternatively open the french doors and enjoy breakfast outside with the mountains as a backdrop and only the sounds of nature as an accompaniment.

The beautifully lit lounge with large windows is ideal for daytime relaxing allowing guests to sit back on the sumptuous sofa. The lounge includes a HD TV, DVD player and Wi-Fi access where you can easily access Netflix and Amazon Prime (your login required) for your own cosy movie night.

The elegant dining room is ideal for entertaining with everything you need to host lavish dinners all the year round. In the cooler months there is a log burning stove allowing you to continue spending time with friends and family.

A quirky toilet is just off the hallway and there is a utility room that includes a sink, washing machine, tumble dryer and extra storage space to complete the downstairs living space of this sumptuous villa.

The villa\'s sleeping accommodation comprises of five bedrooms that all provide scenic views across the woodlands and mountains.

Bedroom one is equipped with an oversized double bed, dresser and sleek hanging space for extensive storage. The bedroom has two wonderful aspect views through large shuttered windows giving majestic vistas of the mountains.

Bedroom two contains 2 large twin beds (which could be made into a double bed if desired), hanging space and a dresser. This room also has a large window which allows light to stream in.

In bedroom three you can enjoy a spectacular mountain view from the balcony, an oversized double bed, hanging space and a chest of drawers providing large amounts of storage in this beautifully light room.

Bedroom four is situated at the front of the house with an amazing view up the mountains. This room offers a double bed, hanging space and a unique en-suite which incorporates shower, sink, toilet and bidet.

The fifth double bedroom includes hanging space and a terrace for enjoying a morning coffee whilst taking in the breath-taking mountain views. There is easy access to the sun deck with a view of the lake. Adjacent to this bedroom is another en-suite comprising of toilet, sink and shower.

The villa also has a luxury double sofa bed located in the upstairs hallway which could be used for 2 more guests or just a great retreat to read a book and relax.

The main bathroom is dramatic in style and finish, encompassing a toilet, bidet, shower, sink and bath, perfect for relaxing after those busy days exploring the lakes.

The private grounds of the villa boast majestic views of the mountains where you can enjoy sunbathing on the comfortable sun loungers on the sunny terrace in luxury, cool off in the swimming pool or cooking on the BBQ next to the alfresco dining area, fantastic in the warm summer months. Enjoy the vibrant sunsets from the additional seating areas around the villa.

The house is suitable for a group of 6-12 people and perfect for families and groups of friends over the age of 25.

Guests will have the entire villa, private pool and gardens to themselves.

Villa Casasco is located at the end of a steep no through road, the approach to the villa is via a narrow road so may not be suitable for larger vehicles (we have often hired a Volvo XC60, BMW X5, Audi Q5 and a Range Rover Velar - would not recommend any bigger).

You have 2 choices to go back to the village, in a smaller car you can go through a quaint narrow archway or for larger vehicles take the same route as you drove to the villa.

The villa is served with 44 large shutters that help regulate temperature during those hot barmy summers and provide insulation in those cooler months. The pool is heated to an approximate temperature of 19 degrees.. it is not a hot tub!
