Clean apartment, love the balcony, but wifi and payment process was terrible

The apartment is in a good location and it has a great balcony which we used every night during our stay. But, the wifi was terrible. Even plugging directly into the unit made it barely passable. My husband and I ended up spending a good part of our trip in coffee shops (which were not very close to the apartment) just to get our required work done. The payment process was a complete mess. We continued to receive emails asking for additional payment even through we were fully paid up. Lastly, the entry way to the apartment complex has a metal gate that requires a key to BOTH enter and exit. To be fair, from the looks of the gate, this may be a standard feature in Bordeaux, but it made me feel extremely unsafe and uneasy that in the case of an emergency (like a fire), I would need a key to open the gate in order to actually exit the building.

It wasn't as nice as I was expecting

There were insightly water stains on the cieling in the kitchen. When you are renting property, this type of thing should be tended before the next guest comes. There was a horrible stench that emanated from the kitchen sink. We had to suffer through the smell until the next day when someone was sent to take care of it. On a positive note, the apartment is tastefully decorated. The location is not bad, though I don't recommend a car because traffic is abominable in this part of the city and getting in the garage is challenging.

Very nice apartment

The apartment was very nice to stay and has a lot of comfort. We stayed with 2 childeren (13 and 10) and they liked it too and felt save. Its situated very central in the city. We were very lucky to have the car parked just before the appartement entrance. And on sunday it was free parking. But there is also a public parking garage on 5 min walk. Very fast internet WIFI specially appreciated by the kids. We used the kitichen to prepare our dinner but also went to some restaurents. There are quite a few around. We also liked the presence of a washingmachine wich is also a dryer. The kids were sleeping in the living room. There is only one bedroom. It was nice to have a seat on the balcony, have a drink and watch the people walking on the street below.
