all things considered, the stay wasn't that bad. a few niggles here n there, upon arrival the bathroom bin wasn't emptied left almost completely full with paper towels etc and spiderwebs above the toilet, ultra sensitive (temperature) shower and on the sunday of my stay in the afternoon the internet and tv were playing up. the kitchen is small and bit awkward to use eg the fridge door has to be opened to fully open the oven to pull the trays out. the cutlery draws could use with cleaning out stray crumbs and dust etc. basic hygiene stuff. no facial tissues to blow my nose was disappointing, lucky i brought my own. i was pleasantly surprised they had the same microwave as what i use at home so that was a familiar piece of tech. the coffee machine was also a welcome touch, and utilised the dishwasher and washer dryer in the bathroom. the convenience to shops and train station was is the key selling point, the apartment is lower ground level and the surrounding area has many undulations but if you're fit and active is this no problem. proximity to the botanic gardens was the highlight, though i came for this trip to see rock band perform at rod laver arena, which was relatively easy to navigate to and from. overall a good experience, but some attention to detail should be addressed.
