The exposed cork facades integrate photovoltaic modules on the south and west sides, seamlessly merging energy production with a distinctive architectural identity. "Lo Scudo di Stabio" is the first building in Ticino to be SNBS certified and holds both the Minergie-P-ECO certification (no. TI-011-P-ECO) and the Swisstainable Level II label, recognising its outstanding ecological, social, and economic quality. It was also selected at the 2022 Active House Awards for its focus on user comfort, natural light, air quality, well-being, and energy efficiency.
