When we arrived, we thought it was the wrong property as the house was fabulous, the owner (Nathalie) was really helpful and even provided with towels as we forgot to pack some. if we go to the same area again we would definitely stay there as it was very well appointed and provided everything we wanted.
We absolutely loved this cute stand-alone house. It was outside of town and a little difficult to find the first day (the directions given made it a lot easier). The house had 3 bedrooms with queen beds, 1 toilet room up stairs with cute sink. Downstairs next to the kitchen was the other toilet room and the 1/2 bath (stand-up shower). The washer was located off the kitchen in a back room (but no dryer - as is common in France). There was a garage, but we didn't use it for our stay given that the driveway had plenty of space for parking. The pool table, ping-pong table, and games were a treat for the kids to use and play. The host was very gracious and after giving us an overview of the house told us about things to do in the area (D-Day beaches, museums, other things) that we could do it we wanted. After we booked the house, we were emailed and given a contract that we had to electronically sign and return. It explained usage and also the small fee associate with providing linens and towels - which we paid in Euros upon arrival. The cows in the pasture would greet us when we arrived, and say goodbye when we left. We would absolutely stay here again.
A wonderful farmhouse with everything you could need. We have had a fantastic stay My only comment as a female guest would be to have mirrors in the bedrooms & perhaps wardrobes. We would highly recommend a stay here though.
Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Town including super U supermarket & petrol station 5 minutes drive away. Unusual bathroom & toilet layout. One toilet with no sink off the kitchen, one shower room including a basin off the kitchen also. Upstairs one toilet including basin in the top of the toilet only. Great to have a pool table. Very small tv wall mounted which is not 'smart; so no ability to connect to a wider range of channels or Netflix etc. Good wifi. Comfortable beds.
Great property and Nathalie is a very nice host! Easy correspondence before, during and after our stay. The house is very clean and met all our expectations.
The house was situated on a farm about 3kms outside Le-Molay-Littry. Very comfortable property with everything you need for your stay.Nathalie the owner welcomed us to the house and showed us some very useful information on places to visit. The reason for our trip to Normandy was to visit some of the D Day locations and Museums. We found the house to be in a good central location to do this.A great trip, good weather, nice countryside we will return.Brian and Malcolm
Fantastic gite in rural location. The property has everything you could possibly need for a lovely holiday. The owner was really friendly. Great for visiting D-Day sites, Caen and Bayeux.
This is the 2nd time we've stayed here and we can't fault it. Will be back in the near future!

Wonderful Spacious Farmhouse
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The owner was very helpful and friendly. The lounge is large and complete with fireplace for winter warmth. The kitchen is very well equipped. It is close to lots of interesting towns including Bayeux, Arromanches, Landing Beaches and beautiful Beuvron-en-Auge. Highly recommend!
Nice and calm. The dog of the neighbours however is dirty and to much in-your-face. The invasionbeaches are easy to reach and the Normandy food and hospitality is great.
Our stay was very good. Maybe if you are with 6 persons, the couch is too small. The fire place, the kitchen and the bedrooms are perfect. The pool-tabel is good, but the chalk and the cue needs some tlc.
The start was a little bumpy because we got the wrong phone-number from the concierge, but we solved that with VRBO.
After that, the beautifull house was a perfect place for us to start our trips to the D-day beaches, museums and Memorials.
Quiet, spacious and comfortable country home with great Normandy location
After spending 5 busy days in Paris, this was the perfect peaceful home base for exploring Normandy. Easy access to the D Day landing sites and picturesque coastal towns. Lots to do in Bayeux just a short drive away. Easily made a visit to Mont Saint Michel on our last full day before returning to Paris for our flight home the following morning. Highly recommend and would definitely return! Nathalie was super helpful.
Loved the house. It was truly perfect. It was spotless, bright and airy and had everything anyone could possibly want or need. The setting is wonderful, very serene and calm with fields of cows grazing. Perfect for us. All the main D Day beaches were a short drive, small town and supermarkets nearby and Bayeux also a short drive. Natalie, our host, was so friendly and helpful. Would love to return.
Relaxing lovely location, like Cornwall but without the crowds and with better beaches.
We enjoyed the relaxing location just outside Le Molay Littry. It's 50mins from Caen in countryside like Cornwall, but without the people! We weren't aware it's right next to a cow farm but they weren't a bother, but there are a lot of flies, which we got used to. The house is a little sparsely furnished but spacious. The bedrooms could do with a chest of drawers each and there's room for them. Downstairs is a bit minimalist too. Some soft furnishings would break up the noise a bit. The town itself is not the best around but it's got a decent supermarket. We didn't go to any other shops or restaurants there! Bayeux is where to go for everything around there. Trevieres is nice too.
The location is super relaxing though and that made it worth the visit. It's a real dark spot at night so you'll see the stars no problem. It's very quiet and the wind through the trees on the avenue to the house is lovely. It's a good base to see all the D day stuff.
Best beach is the nearest one - Omaha, about 25 mins away, with miles of wide soft sand and hardly anyone on it . There all good though.
Things for the kids - Bayeux Aventure Parc is just fantastic and had evening concerts every Friday night for free, which were amazing. Normandie Luge is superb too and well worth the visit - the next level up from the other one. We didn't bother with festyland as I think it's for smaller kids. Mine were 11 and 12 at the time and loved both other parks.

Holiday OK but abusive email after departure not acceptable! Beware.
This holiday home is as advertised but the headline is misleading - bear in mind the Pool is a wobbly old pool table, and not a swimming pool. The oven doesn't work well at all (dinner takes forever to cook), and there are no warddrobes so no where to hang your clothes! The oddest thing though was there are no wash hand basins in either toilet room. This means that if you like to wash you hands after using the toilet, you have to go downstairs and through the lounge and kitchen to a sink in the bathroom. This wouldn't be such a big problem if it didn't wake the whole house up with the noise of the flooring. In our opinion this is just dirty and it wouldn't take a lot to put a basin in these rooms as they are plenty large enough.
The overriding memory from our stay though is the hostile email received from the owner after we departed. It was a bolt from the blue as the owner had visited us 30mins before we left and repaid our deposit, and collected the govt tax. She shook my hand and thanked me. The email however chastised me with venom for not following her 'rules of life'.
Having supplied a 5 page contract in French it turns our that leaving a light on is worthy of sending abuse. It was dark when we left so please forgive us! We put all rubbish in the bin, but alas we didn't use the provided bags, because weren't aware there were any provided, and all shops were closed for the first 24 hours of our visit. Why did you leave the bins without bags in if so important to you? To be clear you refunded the deposit in person at the premises, so your comments afterwards are staggering, pedantic, and very rude. After renting through OwnersDirect for the past 7 years without issue, this was the singularly the worst experience, not helped with the owner not speaking a word of English. Very disappointed.
By the way, the area is fantastic, and it is a short distance to see the Allied landing beaches and Bayeaux tapestry. Le Mont St Michel is also within driving distance and the roads are excellent.

Bonjour,
