Carradale Bay, about 5 minutes walk away, is perfect for gentle strolls, photography and quiet moments by the sea.

Nearby Campbeltown, just a short drive away, offers shops, cafés, restaurants and several renowned whisky distilleries. History lovers can explore ancient standing stones, castles and historic churches scattered throughout the peninsula.

If you wish to go further afield by boat take a ferry from Kennacraig to Islay, famous for its whisky distilleries and dramatic landscapes, or visit Gigha, a small, welcoming island with white sandy beaches and turquoise waters. A day visit to Arran is closer than you think. You can also join boat trips and wildlife cruises to spot dolphins, seals and seabirds.

No matter what you do in the area you will enjoy the rugged beauty of the Kintyre coastline, often described as Scotland in miniature.
