A lovely cosy stay in this beautiful cottage. Full of homely touches and everything you could ever need. Great bedding made for a lovely sleep! Enclosed front garden great for the dogs too! Loved it!
Fantastic property. Have given 4* for location as for us it was a little too far round the island. This is not to say the let information is misleading. More that I had not researched how long it takes to drive the local roads.
Lovely property with fabulous views. Good facilities and owner very helpful. We would definitely return . Having restaurant and shop next door a great bonus .
A very spacious and comfortable property in a wonderful location, just next to the restaurant and village shop. We very much enjoyed our short stay thank you!
We had a wonderful time on Arran and our stay at Hazel’s home was perfect. We had plenty of space and great views of the sea. The proximity to the lighthouse restaurant and pirnmill grocery was a great help. My husband and I were on arran 30 years ago and hope to return in a shorter time for our third visit. We would absolutely stay at Hazel’s again.
This was our first visit to Arran and will certainly not be our last. We loved teh island. We also loved this accomodation. View was amazing. House warm and comfy. Bright and clean and had everything we needed. Our 20 month-old granddaughter loved being so close to the sea.Well stocked shop 2 doors away which is really handy. Found it well positioned for visiting the rest of the island. Would really recommend.
The property is stunning and alot bigger than I was expecting. As it is upstairs the views are amazing from the front you can see all down the beach. Everything you need for a perfect break in Arran. The only thing I would say is we arrived at night and because there is no lights we couldn't see which house it was as there is no sign and no signal to phone so we had to ask the hotel which ended up being next door so no problems after that. Hazel did make sure we were in OK that night aswell. Thank you Hazel for extras of bread cheese and milk all from arran they were delicious
Lovely property with beautiful views. The property included everything you could require from kitchen appliances to books, games, etc.
Located next to a restaurant and shop which again catered from the basics to ingredients for complete meals.
Would definitely recommend and would be happy to use again in the future.
Superb proper, comfortable and you can relax here - not perfect show home style where your worried about touching anything. You need a car to commute for everything really as tiny village but that was fine for us. Lighthouse restraint next door is byob but definitely worth a visit.
Great location overlooking the water. Plenty space to accommodate 3 couples with a bathroom each. Next door to shop and an excellent restaurant. Would definitely recommend this holiday home
The property was as advertised with views of the sound from all the front windows. It’s an older property with features but very homely and cosy in the evening. Very Amble kitchen space and having 3 bathrooms made it very pleasing for all concerned!
We had quite a lot of wet weather but we were able to enjoy sitting outside in the sun when it appeared. We were next door to a lovely village restaurant and shop which made it perfect.
I guess the only thing which would be difficult was for a less able person as the rooms have several steps from living space to bedroom., it wasn’t a problem for us.
If you are looking for a place to relax in a friendly community, this is the perfect place. My family and I had a wonderful time and it was just great to be away from the hustle and bustle of life. It was quite a shock when we got back to the mainland with all the people and traffic which gave us that longing to return... which we will.
Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
Sealladh na Mara is a lovely holiday house and suited our needs. Spacious, clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Hazel was an amazing host, very friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Handy for the local shop and a beautiful location to see the amazing sunsets. We enjoyed the local walks and had a fantastic holiday!
This was an ideal location, quiet and peaceful with a shop on hand for any groceries. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open when we were there but we tended to cook in the apartment anyway. Facilities were great, large lounge with great views, very comfortable beds, dishwasher etc. so all you need for a pleasant stay. The Host is close by if needed which we didn't as everything was as described on the site. Will definitely stay there again.
Lovely, spacious cottage with great views. Clean and tidy with plenty of towels. Arran cheese and chutney welcome pack was a nice surprise. Wifi was good in the main areas which is always a must with teenagers. The only thing missing was some outdoor seating, the existing table and chairs were unusable. Overall we spent a great week here. Very peaceful and relaxing location.
First half of the stay our friends and baby stayed and we then had this perfect place to ourselves. We had everything we needed and the shop was so handy. My daughter loves going down to the beach everyday for a play in the sand.
