Located in the sleepy rural department of Lot et Garonne, La Nique stands in a hectare of parkland with spectacular views all around . The nearest house is about 250 meters away, with just 3 others along the track. 4 double beds in the four bedrooms, plus 2 x 2 bunks, with an optional sheet service available. The house is particularly suitable for families & children. There is a fully equipped kitchen and 2 bathrooms (and an additional WC). Outside, there is a large private heated pool and an all weather tennis court, as well as BBQ, table tennis, bar football, croquet, boules, swings etc. Plus 3 patios for al fresco dining. Charming house, great pool and tennis court, peaceful and pretty location.

Well equipped and comfortable house, all very easy, just like home! Great to have the table tennis/ football as well as the excellent pool and tennis court. Would love to go again. Nice walks, 12th century chapel nearby, lovely wild flowers, pretty garden. A treat!

Perfect family getaway

This property was perfect for our family. There are so many dining areas to choose from that accommodated us all that also provided plenty of space and down time. The kitchen was very well equipped with lots of fridge space which was certainly needed for a family of our size. The pool was fantastic, very clean, heated and tiled steps that made it accessible for the older members. The array of games were enjoyed by children and adults alike, the tennis courts were a real hit and very well maintained. The area is remote which is just what we wanted, but plenty of food shops within a short drive away. We had so much to do here that we were all entertained enough that we didn't leave as much as we usually would. Jean is a fantastic host, very responsive and accommodating. We really enjoyed the space, we have been to France many times before and always stayed in lovely properties but all agreed this was one of our favourites. I would highly recommend and thank Jean and her family for their hospitality.

Notre séjour s’est très bien passé, la maison est idéale pour une semaine de vacances entre amis. Elle est bien équipée et dispose de plusieurs espaces extérieurs parfaits selon les moments de la journée. La piscine est top, et nous avons également bien profité du court de tennis privé ! Un grand merci à Jean de nous avoir permis de profiter de sa demeure pour nos vacances, tout s’est super bien passé et la communication était très fluide.

Le calme et la nature

La Nique est un endroit parfait pour passer des vacances reposantes au calme en pleine campagne Lot-et-Garonnaise. Pas besoin de bouger très loin pour s’occuper passer des vacances de pleine nature. Les équipements extérieurs de la maison sont incroyables.

Vacances en famille

La nique est une maison de rêve pour se retrouver en famille. Le cadre est superbe et la maison offre toutes les activités possible pour s’amuser. La piscine chauffée est très bien entretenue, tout comme le tennis. À l’intérieur nous étions comme à la maison avec des équipements de grande qualité pour la cuisine. Quant aux chambres elles sont silencieuses, même avec du monde un peu partout.

Wonderful house and garden

We had a fantastic week at La Nique, we spent most of our time in the wonderful gardens or exploring the surrounding countryside. The owners clearly love nature and the outdoors, this property has everything from wildlife to clear skies for star-gazing. Inside it has everything required for a comfortable stay.

Fabulous villa and setting in the heart of this part of France. Very happy to recommend it.

Everything about our stay was excellent. The house is well equipped and spacious, and cool during the summer nights. Situated in a rural setting it provided significant privacy to relax and enjoy rural France. Whilst we were not looking for a tennis court this became an added bonus for us and early morning games became essential. The pool is an excellent size and our girls spent many hours in it! The house is well placed for access to the local villages and Marmande further afield. The latter has big supermarkets and other useful stores. There is also excellent cycling to be had on the local roads. We found a good selection of circular routes and away from the traffic. The owner was very quick to respond to questions and requests. Many thanks.

wonderful house and garden, a French oasis

It is a great house for 2 families to share. There is so much to do at La Nique (swimming, tennis, ping pong, table football, croquet ..), it is tempting not to do much else! We enjoyed the nearby lake, markets etc. The house is very well equipped. We loved it,.

A perfect week

A spacious family property that ideally suited our group (grandparents, 2 sets of parents and a total of 3 small grandchildren not forgetting the dog). It was superbly equipped throughout (so much so, there was little space in the kitchen to store our own food!). It had loads of character, in fact it had a typical French farmhouse atmosphere. The pool was wonderful, ideal for the very hot weather we were lucky enough to experience, all set in extensive grounds ideal for children of all ages. We would not hesitate to recommend this property, and return again soon.

Lovely, relaxing holiday at a beautiful villa

My wife and I had a week's relaxing holiday with our 2 dogs here and were so pleased we booked this. The villa is beautiful with all the mod cons. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of bedrooms to choose from. The pool was just the right temperature with plenty of land surrounding it all and a tennis court! This was all set in the beautiful French countryside. You literally hear nothing! The local village is a 5 min drive away where you can get supplies and of course your morning baguettes but for a larger shop Marmande has a large Carrefour that caters for everything and is only 15 min drive away. Highly recommended and look forward to coming back again.

Une halte idéale pour les amateurs de calme, de nature et de sport

Nous avons énormément apprécié cette location. Le descriptif est tout à fait conforme, la maison est très propre, l'équipement est très complet (sauf draps et serviettes à louer en option) et les équipements sportifs (piscine, tennis...) sont en très bon état. Ce sont nos enfants qui avaient choisi la location. Elle "cochait toutes les cases" : piscine, tennis, tennis de table, barbecue... et wifi. Elle est très au calme et c'est agréable une semaine par an d'écouter le silence. A portée de voiture, on peut se promener le long du canal de la Garonne ou aller au cinéma à Marmande. Une très bonne semaine.

Lovely property and setting

We stayed at La Nique in June and had a fabulous time. The weather was mainly sunny and warm but with some cloudy and one wet day, but even on the less sunny days there was plenty to occupy ourselves – ping-pong, bar football, board games et cetera – and we loved it. The house is well equipped and the pool and tennis court are fabulous and there is so much space to get away from people if and when necessary. We will definitely go again if we can.

Superb!

Stayed at La Nique for the second time earlier this year. It's a fantastic house in beautiful, tranquil surroundings. There was plenty to keep us occupied at the house, but we also enjoyed seeing the local area - in particular going for dinner in the nearby town of Bazas. Despite the quantities of cheese and red wine that were consumed, it felt like a very salubrious holiday! Very impressed!

Absolutely fantastic holiday

We have stayed here before and come back because we love the house and the area. Since our last visit the kitchen has been updated and the house looked great. So much fun and convenient having the pool and tennis court. We adore the local village Cocumont and it is very easy getting from Bordeaux. Would absolutely recommend!

Great house fabulous location

A lovely house, well equipped and furnished, in a beautiful quiet location. Didn't see another car from the house the entire time, and we had ample to do while we were there. Great for getting away from it all. Highly recommended
