Set on the edge of the Lake District near Egremont, this wonderfully appointed cottage is surrounded by natural beauty. At your doorstep, you can enjoy walks up to Cold Fell or venture further afield to the valley surrounding Ennerdale Water and Forest. Popular seaside spots including St Bees (3.5 miles) and Whitehaven (6.5 miles) are well worth a visit, with the latter offering an abundance of fascinating local history to discover. Wasdale Valley, home to Scafell, Scafell Pike, and Great Gable, is also easily accessible from here, along with attractions such as Ravenglass Railway and Muncaster Castle.
Walk into this cottage and you will see traditional style mixed in with new features to create a lovely getaway retreat. The lounge offers comfort and relaxation with a wood burner, Smart TV, sofa and an armchair. Down a step is the kitchen/diner which has a great open-plan feel and is the hub of the house. Here is an electric cooker with a gas hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and microwave along with a farmhouse pine dining table and chairs. Down a few steps is the utility room with a drying area and washing machine. Up to the first floor, we first have the bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Up a few more steep steps, a door leads to the master bedroom with a super-king-size bed and plenty of storage space. A second door leads off the staircase to the second lounge/snug with a futon sofa, Smart TV and wood burner. Heading up the steep stairs to the second floor there is the second bedroom, set over two levels with a single on each level.
Outside, the garden/patio area is a wonderful spot to sit back and enjoy the views and let your hair down. There is ample private parking.
