Nice Stay in The Chain of Lakes Area

Enjoyed the 3rd story balcony in the evenings; enjoyed the Linden Hills neighborhood & ten minute walk to neighborhood restaurants, coffee shop and bakery.

We had a great stay in the lovely neighborhood! Construction was a little frustrating but that’s not their fault at all. Lakes Harriet and Bde Maka Ska are beautiful as always. Conveniently located. Great restaurants and shops.Note: the last bit of stairs are steep. Take it slow if you have bad knees.

Cute property, fabulous neighborhood, close to the lakes and downtown MSP!

On our first trip to Minneapolis, enjoyed our stay at the tree top cottage! Very close to Lake Harriet and Lake Calhoun- perfect neighborhood with beautiful homes, views of the lakes, and ample outdoor recreation opportunities and sightseeing! Downtown is also a quick drive away! Cottage has a nice outdoor deck, which was perfect for our stay as it was 65-70 degrees with ample sunshine! Inside is nice, with comfortable living area with all the modern conveniences of life (central air, Hi def cable tv, etc). Only thing to note is that the staircase is a tad steep leading up to the unit, so keep that in mind if you are elderly or have large heavy bags. Lastly, the property’s host was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had, and is clear the property is well taken care of! Thanks for a fantastic first trip to MSP!!

Summer retreat

My 3 sisters and I stayed at the tree top for sisters weekend . The apartment was wonderful . Everything we needed was there . We spent our time walking the lakes and enjoying the shops. We would recommend this place for anyone looking for a quite and relaxing getaway.

Modern updates close to lakes

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment! It is the 3rd floor of an old home, but it has been updated beautifully. The stairs from the 2nd to 3rd floor are quite steep, but this was not an issue for us. The home was very clean and well-furnished, and the beds were comfortable with soft sheets. The home is within an easy walk to Lake Harriet and its bandstand area, and to the bike paths that surround the area lakes. While sitting on the deck we noticed many planes flying overhead to land at the airport, but it did not diminish our enjoyment. We would stay here again if we visit Minneapolis again.

Will definitely come back!

We enjoyed our stay so much. The location of the property is excellent--close, easy walking to two lakes, in a lovely neighborhood. The location of the unit (on the third floor) was a little more challenging! Although we knew there were two flights of stairs, the second flight is a bit difficult to maneuver with luggage, etc. We did persevere, however! The owners were easy to deal with, happy to oblige, and left good instructions. Our few complaints are needing coffee cups that aren't as big as soup bowls, and maybe a couple of cookie sheets. And since the bathroom is a bit small, hanging a mirror in each bedroom would be helpful as well. However, the beds were great, the sheets wonderful, and there was an ample supply of towels, blankets, throws, hangers in all the closets. Thank you for enhancing our visit to our family--although if you could do something about the humidity, I'd give you 6 stars!

Great location

We love this neighborhood. If you are looking to explore but want it all without really needing a car this is it. Bike and walking trails around two lakes, fantastic food, a farmers market. If you want to increase your reach you are an easy drive to either the MOA or downtown. The apartment is well kept, comfortable and air conditioned. It suited our needs perfectly. Do note that “treetop” does mean two flights of stairs, the last being a steep climb into a converted attic space. We loved it but anyone with bad knees would have potential issues. That said, when we travel we would happily stay here again!
