Beautiful and spacious 4/2 close to UF

Walk to UF, Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, O'Connell Center, restaurants and shopping. Enjoy the outdoors on the large multi-level deck, especially on football weekends. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are welcoming. You can bike to downtown or reach the mall or archer road with a 10 minute drive.

This home accommodates large groups easily but is still cozy for only a few. There are plenty of spaces where you can sit and enjoy the company of others or find a space to have for yourself. The backyard has a deck with two seating areas and additional space for entertaining. All rooms in the house except for the living room and dining room can be closed off from the rest of the house so you can work in peace if need be. We have installed a Nest thermostat and have a (Hidden by Airbnb) Home to help make your stay as effortless as possible. The kitchen has ample counter space for preparing a meal for large groups.

Nightmare host

Imagine your child graduating from the university of Florida. You have people flying in from all over the country to see this. 8 -9 people in all. You rent a place 6 months in advance and the owner cancels and refunds you 15 hrs before check in. What a class act. You must have a ton of freinds sir. Good luck with life.

Pictures online are mostly representative; however, there is a lot more wear than appears in the pictures. For example, the carpeting is heavily stained and the bedding is very old. Dirty walls, etc. Workable for dudes accepting frat house vibe but not acceptable for couples or families. The house is in a nice location. Common areas are better than the rooms.

Host was very rude

What I thought would be a great experience for my family turned out to be horrible. My uncles had to fix the garage that partially broken. Along with the garage being full of random things.There were unstable pieces of tiles on the floor. The host called me saying that we were having a party and we weren’t. Our purpose for being in Gainesville were for the Gatornationals racing. Which was rained out on Friday and the day that all my family came in. We all gathered in spot to figure out the plan for the rest of the weekend. We had two houses booked which I let the host know. The host SHOWED up to the property unannounced and irate. He threatened to cancel our reservation. He made a statement about the amount of people and he’s knows that there’s going to be a great amount of trash. I informed that we always haul away our trash even though we’re CHARGED a clean up fee.I explained to him that we only gathered in one spot for a little while. He then asked me what do I propose to him for the remainder of the stay. If I could have found another house I would have left his property immediately. I hope no one else has to experience that type of behavior from a host.

Spacious and clean

This property is in a nice, quiet neighborhood, and is larger than it looks from the outside. The owner has graciously provided coffee, filters, cream & sugar, along with plenty of trash bags, dishwasher liquid and dish soap, laundry soap, bar soap in the bathrooms, toilet paper, paper towels, and many other things you might have forgotten to pack. While there are many kitchen items to help you prepare gourmet meals at home, be aware that there is only 1 frying pan and there is not a cookie sheet. The owner's response was quick and check-in was easy. For entertainment, there are smart TVs in the living room and master bedroom. They also have a number of board games for family fun. A very large multi-level outdoor deck with a gas grill allows for plenty of space for cookouts. i would definitely stay here again.

Our host, Alex was very responsive in answering questions ahead of booking, and during our stay he dropped off a box cookies which was a wonderful, thoughtful surprise.

Awesome !

The property is in perfect condition, you do not need anything because it is perfectly equipped. We feel super comfortable and safe. It is perfectly located, close to UF and everything you need, Walmart, Publix, gas station, etc. The owner is very attentive and responds quickly to messages. I hope to come back soon !

Perfect location

Lovely house, very spacious and comfortable. Traveled with my family for my daughter’s graduation. It’s very close to UF and also in a nice quiet neighborhood. I highly recommend this property!

Accessibility in a Lovely Setting

The house is located on a private, residential street that is quite lovely. We bicycled to the swim club, good stores are nearby, and downtown is 10 minutes away. Couch in the living room is not as pictured. We could not get the cushions to stay put, so we had no place to comfortably sit. I'd bring back the couch in the picture. Yard is lovely and well-kept. I'd upgrade the linens, if I owned the property, and I'd assure that they are all washed between visitors. Otherwise, good rental in a great small city.

Great stay for 14 of us

We had three families come together for a Gator game weekend. Place was well suited for the 14 of us and made for a lot of fun. There are air mattresses and additional floor mattresses that allowed the kids to bunk up as they wanted. Alex was great with timely communication and even replaced the coffee pot while we were there within an hour of notifying him the existing one wasn’t working properly. Definitely recommend this home.

Super nice owner, so easy to work with and very cute house close to everything

I had to evacuate for Hurricane Dorian. I had originally booked this home starting on a Saturday but the hurricane slowed down and I didn't need to evacuate until Monday. Alex changed the dates, no problem. I had my dogs with me, no problem. Alex couldn't have been nicer in this extremely stressful situation. The house was decorated really cute. The kitchen cabinets have been updated and are now white not brown as in the pics. The guest bathroom also was more updated than shown in the pics. The house is older and doesn't have an open concept but I really liked that there was a cozy living room with fire place, and family room in the front of the house and a separate kitchen space instead of one giant room with everyone on top of each other. The house definitely has character. It was also nicely stocked with soap, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc. It has a big deck on the back which we didn't use because it's still very hot but I could see spending a fall afternoon out there in cooler weather. I'm a little OCD when it comes to cleanliness and this house was very clean. The house is pretty close to UF. The neighborhood is a mix of residents and student rentals. I felt very safe. When I was walking my dogs, I saw some really cool mid century homes. I haven't spent that much time in Gainesville since I was a student back in the 90's. I can't believe all the nice new additions regarding shopping and restaurants. Right by Archer and 75, there's so many options now. Check out Celebration Pointe. We went to the grand opening of The Keys Grille and Piano Bar, so fun! This house is close to it all. You can't beat how centrally located it is.

Wonderfully comfortable home in fabulous location!

Spotlessly clean, well furnished home in quiet, walkable neighborhood. Once again, VRBO has not disappointed. We were in Gainesville to attend a wedding at the University and found this property to be extremely convenient to the wedding venues as well as good restaurants and shopping. Were very happy with the home's off street parking and convenient entry. The kitchen is well supplied, with upscale appliances, and ample counter space. The home is really quiet and private due to the large lots and many trees. Alex and his family are doing a beautiful job of updating this mid-century property and truly have made it "just like home" as far as amenities offered. Highly recommend and hope to visit again in the future! Thank you, Alex, for your availability when we had a few questions. And for giving us the opportunity to stay in your lovely home!

Beautiful home for a family or group

Property is beautiful and nicely decorated. It appears they will be remodeling the kitchen soon, based on cabinets in the garage. There is a beautiful deck at the back of the house to enjoy the wonderful weather. Only comment I would add would be to have an instruction booklet to give details about the house. Things such as garbage pick up, using the TVs, heat and AC etc. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
