You will be swimming in the Seine, go for walks over the green hills, enjoy breakfast on the balcony and dinner or lunch in the garden, marvel at the wonderful village and the view of the castle.
In short: You will most likely have a wonderful stay.
Henri and Laurent, the proprietors, were super-friendly and usually replied on short notice.
Having said that, I would have wished for more detailed information on the website and less misunderstandings communicationwise during the planning phase and at arrival. So maybe these observations are helpful for others:
- It took me days to specify the correct location of the house. The info incl. geodata I received was either incorrect or unknown to Google Maps as well as Via Michelin. I later found out that Google Maps does find the address (which I will not disclose here for obvious reasons) if I type "imp." instead of "impasse". Hope that helps.
- You actually can rent the bed linen, you do not have to bring it yourself. That info reached us too late, we already were on the road.
- No WiFi or WLAN (you may want to warn your kids :-))
- The kitchen has an easy to use induction cooker. Ironically, most of the pots there don't work because they are not made of the right material. Luckily, the pan does. There is no espresso cooker, so you may give that a thought.
- When you arrive, drive through the village gate and take the road slightly left in front of you to find the house.
Not to sound too negative. We LOVED it!
