VistaMar Villa

Escape to VistaMar, a spacious, newly-remodeled villa in Coral Cliff, Santa Martha. Located near the former Sunset Waters Hotel, VistaMar’s seven bedrooms graciously accommodate up to ten guests. Enjoy breathtaking ocean views from every bedroom, superior comfort, and a private rental experience that sets VistaMar apart from any hotel on the island.

Three large terraces, boasting 200+ degree views of the Caribbean ocean and bay, provide the perfect setting for stargazing or simply appreciating the sunrises and sunsets on this beautiful island. Admire the views from the pool and its relaxing cascade, or from the nearby lounge chairs which are perfect for sunbathing while enjoying a serene sea breeze.

The top-level terrace features an outdoor dining area, barbeque grill, and sofas to enjoy dinner and cocktails. Inside the living room, you will find vaulted ceilings, comfortable furniture, neutral-colored décor, and 4 sliding glass doors for an unobstructed view of the ocean. The kitchen features everything needed to make a home-cooked meal and includes state-of-the-art appliances: refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, blender, and coffee maker. Alternately, there are a number of great restaurants within a 15-minute drive from VistaMar.

VistaMar is close to some of the best dive spots in Curacao. Easy shore access allows for all levels of diving and snorkeling, where you can procure equipment and schedule training and personalized diving trips. (website hidden)

VistaMar’s pricing policy is based on occupancy, i.e, you pay for the space you use, as follows:
• The base rent is for the first two guests, and
• Additional guests (above 2) pay only $50,00 per guest per night.

The more guests you have in your group, the cheaper it becomes on a per-guest basis.

The kitchen area was very nicely equiped. Everything we needed was right at hand. The multi floor layout made for a very private feeling. There was plenty of room for all 7 of us. The view from every floor is spectacular and the sunsets are incredible. Netti is wonderful and very helpful if you need her. Galo the owner is also a pleasure to speak with and easily contacted. Vista Mar is a wonderful place to spend some very relaxing time. We highly recommend it and will be returning next year.

One of the best trips to the Caribbean I have taken. So many beaches to explore with amazing snorkeling. This house is spacious and private with a stunning view. Netty the property manager was very helpful.

Vista Mar is an incredible place to stay! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The house is set up on the cliff side with spectacular views on every side. There is snorkeling acess a short walk down a path leading to steps down to the water. Nice spot to get in without dealing with sand. Also a very nice reef area where we spotted all kinds of fish, eels, and one member even spotted an octopus. The pool was very nice and the kids played for hours every day in it. We love that you get to rent the whole house which really has 3 apartments, and dont have to share a common are with other vacationers! It was perfect for our large group with 2 large families.The house is Incredibly spacious and very comfortable. The key to keeping the main living are comfortable is to just leave the sliding doors open and let the tradewinds breeze through. The house is off the beaten path and is a fair drive from Williemstad. We prefer that as its away from all the crowds. The neighborhood is very small and quiet. You do drive right through the construction site for the new hotel to get there which feels a little odd the first time. The construction did not affect our stay at all though. We had some issues with our flights due to the military operations in Venezuela and Galo (owner) was Incredibly helpful and worked with us to save our trip. Netty was very friendly and welcoming and showed us everything we needed to know for our stay. Thanks!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; the house was beautiful, the island was stunning, and we had a wonderful time. Having visited Curacao previously only on cruise ships, we are so glad to have finally spent a week there; it certainly did not disappoint. It's now one of our favorite places. The host and Netty were both extremely helpful and very responsive, and I would highly recommend every aspect of our stay. As others have stated, there is a bit of construction going on near the house, which was a bit confusing (mostly due to Google Maps giving bad directions the first day), but it really had no impact on our trip. We had a group of 10, including both friends and family, with ages ranging from 12 to 76, and everyone found it enjoyable, with plenty of room to spread out.

Fantastic Property!

This property is simply fantastic! We had a group of 7, and were able to spread way out and all have our own space for the week. You are able to enjoy both the sunrise and the sunset from the house and they were stunning! Definitely off the beaten path, but not so far out to be inconvenient. The house has a peaceful vibe and we found it to be exactly what we were looking for. Absolutely recommend!

Fantastic views

Vistamar was a delight, with stupendous views - from sunrise through sunset. Though it is off the beaten track, that can be an asset if you’re looking for quiet relaxation in a gorgeous setting. Strong recommend.

Beautiful place, views, and place

A group of 11 of us, ranging from ages 10-80, stayed for a week over the holiday this December. The place was lovely and we all loved it.Plenty of place to spread out, relax, swim and be together. It is in a picture perfect location and the surrounding beaches were fantastic.It definitely is on the quieter side of the island and takes some driving to get there, which we appreciated, but is worth knowing!The reviews before us are all accurate: the place is super comfortable and the house manager Netty is super helpful and lovely. The main room does get hot, as the island is pretty hot! Hope to be back!

Awesome Oceanfront Villa

We are very impressed by the massive villa and the fact that 3 families could share 3 floors of the property with enough privacy. Netty, the property manager was extremely helpful and easily reachable for minor issues and questions. Our group had a really great time and thanks to Galo for letting us stay in his property. One suggestion is to have a large floor fan in the main living/kitchen area as it gets hot during the day. Thank you!

Great Stay in Curacao

Our group of 11 had a great time in Curacao especially the stay at the house. The rooms were spread out so that 3 different groups could have their own location. The view is tremendous and bird watching from above the birds in the trees below was great. The responses from the owner and the local property managers were prompt and accurate. Amazing views

We had a wonderful week staying at this beautiful home. Although it was a bit of a drive from Willamsted it’s in a great location for getting to many of the gorgeous beaches! The only negative was that the main living area and kitchen weren’t air conditioned (only the bedrooms) but we spent the days at the beaches and evenings by the pool so it wasn’t a big problem. And the breezes coming off the water were great. Great communication from the owner and property managers

Espectacular, The host is a wonderful and kind person. The administrator and the person in charge of the maintainance were very nice and kind persons too, they were always willing to help if something went wrong. Common áreas, rooms, pool, the view, were top 1%. Very confortable. The property was very near from the Best beaches.

Spectacular House With A Stunning View

This is a magnificent house with room for large or even multiple families. It is located in a very remote area of the island (which made it perfect for "social distancing"), so occupants will definitely need a car to get around. The property is immaculate, the pool is great, and the views from almost every room are absolutely breathtaking. It is not the easiest place to find, but once you are there, you will never want to leave!

July Vacation

We had 11 people from 3 different families in this house. The size and design of the house gave each family their own space, but we also had areas that we could all be together. The views can not be beat. The pool and the outdoor space was amazing. The hammocks are wonderful, as well. Great place to stay, it is out and away from the downtown, but we like it that way. However, with that said, you are still very close to so many beaches and restaurants, that it doesn’t matter. Wonderful place and would definitely recommend it to other families.

Spectacular ocean views and great villa overall

We loved the large pool deck overlooking the ocean. Amazing views! Hammocks were nice! We also loved the wrap around porch on the top level with a large dining table for group dinners. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious. Love how they have a fridge in each level. We enjoyed having separate entrances/levels for each couple as there were 3 couples and one individual on our trip. It was perfect for us. The only cons for us personally- we like beds that are softer than what they had, and less important we prefer king size beds, they felt like queen or full but I’m not sure. However in their defense the beds were pretty standard for the island in most villas. There was some construction you pass through driving in at the time we were there but it didn’t affect the experience at the villa and that will pass. I would recommend this place and stay there again. The property manager Netty was amazing! So helpful and friendly, as were others on the cleaning crew. Galo was very responsive also. 5 stars overall!

Beautiful place!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Vistamar! The space is large and perfect for friends who want to spread out but still have time together. Our host and his property manager were very communicative. Property manager was available on ‎WhatsApp for any questions or help we needed. Air conditioning in the bedrooms. And the breeze kept the living space cool too. The villa is a little remote. You will need to rent a car preferably an SUV. There is construction going on before you get to the neighborhood, and you do drive on some rutted dirt roads for a bit. Overall, we had a fantastic day and would absolutely choose to stay at the Vista Mar again.

Curacao Spring Break 2023

What a great place to stay. Away from the hustle and bustle, quiet (except for the wonderful birds) peaceful and the views were amazing! The house was gorgeous and well equipped. Pool was amazing. Plenty of room for our party of 13. Had great weather the entire week. Had a couple of hiccups during the week with water and power that were taken care of quickly with responses from owner and caretaker quickly! Neither of which was a house itself issue Would recommend this property 100%! Our care taker Nettie was wonderful and responsive! Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Beautiful house and perfect location

Every year I take my friends on a vacation for my bday. I rent high end houses. I chose this house for the # of bedrooms, the ocean view and close proximity to the best beaches on Curacao. It didn’t disappoint. Galo and Netty are fantastic. The house is well equipped, big pool, spacious inside and outside. Private and up a hill with gorgeous sunsets!! Plenty of cookware / dishes/ glasses and some spices etc. On way to house, grab some toilet paper, paper towels, dish washer soap and washing machine soap. Pack light as there is a washing machine. Best beaches within 20 minutes and town 45-1 hour drive. Would definitely recommend this house!!!

I received my MBA and MS from the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas and an additional master’s degree in finance from Florida International University, in Miami, Florida. I currently reside in Quito, Ecuador and am the owner of several businesses. I am a very open, friendly, optimistic and enthusiastic person. I am also an avid traveler and speak English, Spanish and Portuguese. I want my guests visiting Curacao to have a place that feels like home.

Why they chose this property

My family and I first visited Curacao in 1993 and instantly felt in love with the island. A few years later, we were invited to stay at a friend’s house in Santa Martha Bay, located on the west of the island. Since then, Curacao has been our favorite vacation destination, and so much so, that four years ago we purchased VistaMar, which is just a stone’s throw from my friend’s home. With its beautiful, white sandy beaches, spectacular coral reefs and views of Christopher’s peak, I think the Santa Martha bay area is the best part of Curacao.

VistaMar overlooks the Caribbean Sea from the vantage point of an impressive cliff side. We did not spare any cost when we remodeled the villa and expanded it considerably to accommodate our large family. We love having "everyone under one roof" to celebrate our family gatherings, important anniversaries, graduations and casual reunions.

Our guests enjoy our beautiful villa with million-dollar views. The property is very peaceful, and privately secluded. The sunset views are the real highlight. Spend the day undertaking incredible snorkeling adventures (just below the Villa) and relax in the evening with fine dining from any of the restaurants near the villa as well as in Willemstad.

Additionally, VistaMar offers three large terraces, boasting 200+ degree views of the Caribbean Sea and bay. The space is perfect for stargazing or simply appreciating the sunrises and sunsets on this beautiful island. You can also admire the views from the pool and its relaxing cascade, or sunbathe from the lounge chairs while enjoying a serene sea breeze.
