We had a very comfortable overnight stay in the Corn Crib. The owner clearly has taken great pride in setting it up; the self-service breakfast concept is brilliant! We were impressed with the variety of food options that she had for us. The property was easy to get to, with ample parking for our two vehicles. The living room was attractive and cozy. It is unfortunate for the owner that nearby properties have been sold to developers and the view, near and far, is now of suburban-style subdivisions. The backyard of the closest one will be only a few feet away from the front seating area of the Corn Crib. Her listing title of "Cabin in the City" is very honest! It's not the city, but it's not fully rural either. We heard the sound of distant gunfire that sounded like it was coming from a shooting range and also odd reverb-y loudspeaker announcements that sounded nearby, as if from a sporting event. Both ended by 8:30PM and could not be heard from inside the cabin. We only stayed here one night, so it's possible that this noise is very uncommon.
