About Inger Marie Oiahals
We are Norwegian family that moved to Galatas in June 2015 after 16 years in Athens.
Why Inger Marie Oiahals chose Trizinia
We have been sailing a lot in the Saronics and in waters around the island of Poros, and we finally wanted to buy a piece of land that we could develop into a property to suit our preferences. This location in the Peloponnese is nice and especially enjoyable for people with interests involving in the sea and boat life.
What makes this Villa unique
The location is perfect with its closeness to the sea. It sits in quiet surroundings, yet only 1.5 km away from the towns of Galatas and Poros, offering amazing panoramic view of ships and sailing boats approaching Poros. Getting there is easy - it can be reached by car ( 2.5 hrs) from Athens or by boat ( 1.5 hrs) from Piraeus.

The house was very beautiful and clean with a nice pool.
Lovely place and everything worked great. Ann, who was taking care of us was super friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend this place and hopefully we will return one day.
Everything was perfect! House, pool, service from Ann, welcomingsurprice, surroundings, equipment!,
We loved everything and would like to come back in the nearest future!
The Best location away from the busy Poros but still Poros in reach within 10 minutes incl the small taxiboat!
Our Best recommandations for Vila Elia!
We are very happy that you were pleased with your stay. Welcome back another time.
Amazing Villa Elina with great view.
One week was not enough, we loved the house, Galatas and the people. We would've loved to stay longer. The villa was amazing with great view, outdoor area and clean pool.
Ann and her husband did everything to make you feel welcome. Our favorite restaurant was the local one at Poros Marina, max. 5 minutes walk from the villa.
We do also fall in love with the barbecue area. Highly recommended, everything was perfect.
Thank you for your positive review. We are very happy that you were pleased with your stay and we welcome you back another time
A beautiful, extremely well appointed villa with fabulous views and perfect for entertaining
We stayed at Villa Elia for 9 days but wished we could have spent longer here. Upon arrival everything was in immaculate order, and Ann the housekeeper provided us with a very warm welcome and a surprise traditional Greek buffet along with wine for us and soft drinks for the kids.
There is honestly nothing missing from the house, and indeed the impression arriving through the electric private gate and driving up the long paved driveway is one of quality and exclusivity.
The villa feels more like being on a private estate. We were alone for the first few days, but later Inger and Arvid arrived and were on hand to answer any queries.
Ann was always around with her husband Vassily, and we bumped into her (with spookily increasing frequency - Trueman Show style) whenever we were out shopping in nearby Galatas, where she was always happy to help.
The swimming pool and BBQ complex areas of the villa are much larger than they appear on the photos, and the quality of the landscape, planting and paving is excellent.
Others have commented that the nearby beaches are not on the beautiful side, and that's certainly not an exaggeration. However nearby Poros is simply gorgeous, and we took a boat across every day for walks, dinner and trips to the ruins and the monastery opposite which you can view in pole position from the property. A hint from anyone making the trip to the monastery, it is now habited by 3-monks once again, and closed between midday and 5pm, visitors need to have covered limbs, and heads and skirts (for women), although going when it was closed allowed us to discover the nearby restaurant 'Olga' which was particularly reasonable with home cooked food.
Other restaurants on the island vary in price. We found 'Oasis' quite expensive, but with generous portions, but the 'Garden' restaurant up on one of the winding streets of Poros had huge portions, with a great view at a reasonable price.
Poros is great for day trips to many of the surrounding islands of Aegina and Spetses, and its great fun watching the many boats depart across the sea in front of the villa.
We'd advise taking warm slippers with you if you feel cold underfoot, only because Inger and Arvid have invested in a such a sophisticated internal cooling system that the house can become quite cold. However Arvid reset the controls for us and we soon found things to our liking.
We'd love to return to the property next year, perhaps bringing a few friends to share it with?
A wonderful hidden gem where families can truly relax and fall in love with Greece
From the very start of our experience of Villa Elia we were made to feel so very welcome. Stunning views, immaculately presented and so very peaceful. The images do not truly do this most beautiful villa justice.
My family of 7 stayed here over 14 days. The pool area is fantastic, where we relaxed to chill out music both day and evening. The well-equipped ranch style bbq area was used several times for stress-free simple dining (local butchers do amazing kofta kebabs and spicy sausages are a must on the grill!) The villa was most comfortable and spacious…and again immaculately clean and supported throughout the weeks by Ann the housekeeper.
A plethora of tavernas in both Galatas and Poros. Thoroughly enjoyed a day out on mopeds and quads over on Poros and a day out on the clear waters in a private foot ferry (arranged by the amazing Ann)
Time just flew by and would love to have stayed on.
Thank you Inger and Arvid...you have created something very very special here.
We are so happy that our guests enjoy our place and the area of Poros and Galatas
Our familiy; me and my husband, our 3 "kids", son and dauhter i law and our grandson who is 14 monts, stayed at Villa Elia for the last week in June. A beautiful place with an amazing scenery. The House has everything you need, and more. The outdoor facilities with barbeque and swimmingpool are fantastic. And foremost, owners and the Housekeeper Ann are the most welcoming and serviceminded people. Living in Galatas, Ann knows everybody and gladly involved us into the relaxing people and atmosphere in the Galatas and Poros area.
We are so happy with this experience and hope to come back some day soon to this beautiful and relaxing place.
Within walking distance, approx 400 and 700 meters from the property you find sandy beaches. Two small tavernas (restaurants) are located on the beach, and during the summer period they offer sunbeds for rent, and food and drinks are available. Near to the property is Lemonodasos (the Lemon Forest) which is a nice area for walking. Galatas town is a 1.5 km walk or drive from the property and here you find local shops, tavernas, bakery, grocery and a car-rent, among others. Galatas is located on the mainland of Peloponnese and is only separated from Poros by a 200 meter wide canal. Poros is considered to be a traditional and a very lively town in the Saronic bay. It is the most common and frequent stop-over for yacht sailors to and from the Cyclades. Here you find hotels, restaurants, tavernas, cafes and bars. On the mainland Galatas the life is more relaxed than in Poros but it is only a 2 minutes trip with the local taxi-boat at a rate of 1 Euro which separates the two locations. The taxi boats travel frequently every 10 minutes.
In Poros there are water sports facilities and several tour operators who offer day trips at sea for snorkelling, swimming and exploring nearby islands. The ferryboats from Piraeus and islands close by approach Poros frequently every day.
The Saronic gulf with the coast line of Peloponnese has a number of attractions; - In Poros you find nice beaches, a museum and the temple of Poseidon; and on the road towards Chorint, the ancient theater of Epidaurus 45 minutes away from Galatas by car. The Methana Volcano is located approx 20 km away, and in that area there are several nice villages to visit. The magnificent island of Hydra is famous for its tranquillity and well preserved history and can be reached with the hydrofoil from Poros or by car connecting with the ferryboat from Metoxi. These are just few examples of the places in the area worth visiting.
For winter tourism the area of Peloponnese is great for mountain walking. If you are interested in horses, a special recommendation is the horse trekking in the mountains overlooking Galatas and Poros. The Haflingers are gorgeous and are very well behaved.
